Moses Malone may be the OG behind the Nike Air Force 1s, but Rasheed Wallace was definitely the one who schooled the new kids on how OLD is definitely GOLD, by playing in AF1s almost every single game of his entire career in the NBA, and owning in them.
Although he may be hanging up his AF1s for something more ‘business’ like as he moves in a his role as the assistant coach of the Detroit Pistons, Nike has reworked its iconic Air Force 1 basketball sneaker to pay homage to Rasheed “Sheed” Wallace one last time as a player. The Nike Air Force 1 CMFT is the newly designed performance version of the historical icon, upgraded with drop-in Lunarlon foam insoles for maximum lightweight and flexible cushioning. Oh yeah, did we mention that this 2 pairs are QSs? Coming in the colors of his former team, the New York Knicks, the shoes feature a blazing crimson upper set against blue and white accents, topped off with a custom “Sheed” lace lock and a silhouette of the man himself on the shoe’s side panel. The same is offered in the flipped version, now with blue upper and crimson accents.
Both pairs are available at selected retailers nationwide, so if you’re drooling, might wanna wipe off that drool and check with your nearest retailers.
