It’s undeniable that the Nike Air Max 1 is one of the greatest shoes to have graced the sneaker scene, having spawned multiple high profile collaborations, with 2 of the most notable ones include atmos and Dutch artist Piet Parra.
Now though, Nike looks back to the roots of constructing the Air Max 1, by bringing its early sketches to life onto the silhouette itself, promising a model that’s full of details and Easter Eggs that relate back to how the Air Max 1 started back then. Each panel includes its own labels, as well as instructions to add additional paneling or naming a part on the shoe. Tinker Hatfield’s signature is present on the right heel counter of the pair, flanked by a Nike Air logo on the left. White lines are coloured into the debossed details of the midsole, while sketch lines appear on the colour of the shoe.
The model comes in two alternate colours of black and white, with different tags present on the white model, in which the white one is labelled with material measurements and labelling. The outsole is also transparent, revealing more details hidden underneath.
Both colours of the “Sketch To Shelf” will be available online on the 13th of July on Nike.com for a price of RM 579. Will you complete the whole pack?
