The Vans Syndicate collection, an imprint that offers premium materials and outstanding hues, will mark 2015 as its 10th anniversary. To celebrate it, several original Syndicate collaborators were tabbed to reworking various brand silhouettes. Vans Syndicate realigns the project with Max Schaaf or better known as a skateboarder and motorcycle builder for a collaborative release of the Mountain Edition 4Q. In this design, Schaaf reflects his adventurous and durable spirit.
Rugged scheme is emphasized in this reimagined silhouette by featuring a premium all black heavy-duty full grain leather upper, inspired by skateboarding, motorcycle and Schaaf’s hometown, Oakland. Shaaf redefine the shoe with a raised collar for increased ankle protection, interior warrior suede, heat-resistant lining, custom debossed logo details on the upper and tongue and a hidden Syndicate logo in the Velcro strap.
