Local Indie Band, Midnight Fusic Drops Groovy Tunes On Their Latest Heartbreak Single ‘Lovesick’

Local alternative indie act Midnight Fusic reveals their second single, Lovesick after their successful debut track Heart of May. The sultry groovy dance track is a prequel to their first release, Heart of May which charted number 1 on the Hitz.FM Met 10 Charts. For those who don’t know the band, the band’s vibe is in between fuzzy, jangly guitar lines with spit-polished indie anthems and rhythms and writing from their personal life experiences. Their second single, ‘Lovesick’ is based on vocalist and frontman Raja Arif Aizudin’s experience of being stuck in a toxic relationship and finding it hard to let go which we can all relate to.

“Instead of setting the story of love lost to a slow, sad melody, we decided to put the lyrics into something funky and upbeat thus, bringing life into the song and making it an earworm of a tune,” said Adrian.

The band is working on their debut EP that is expected to release sometime in April 2018. Fans can expect the official music video to be released on 26 January 2018

Timberland Revives Ancient Art In “The Window Flowers” Collection

In conjunction with Chinese New Year (CNY), Timberland has collaborated with Benson Chen, an international award-winning designer to create a collection infused with creativity and elements of Chinese culture. His theme for the collection is inspired by paper-cutting art which originated from century-old folk art, which is further used by Benson to re-design Timberland’s tree logo into an exquisite pattern work embedded in this upcoming collaboration project, the Window Flowers Collection.

You may ask, “Why ‘window flowers’?”. Paper cut-outs were once widely used for decorative purpose on doors and windows back in the days. As window flowers use to bring more life in designs back then, this collection aims to glam up your look in current times. The collection includes the FlyRoam Chukka, the Iconic 6-inch Boot and Premium Chukka styles where Chinese paper-cutting pattern are applied on the chukkas and the nubuck leather uppers of 6-inch boots. The Softshell Bomber Jacket in the collection celebrates the season of blooming fortune with a subtle, exquisite pattern lining and if you prefer a bold seasonal look, the collection has three delicately designed tops with detailed cut-out graphics inspired by the traditional paper-cutting art.

The collection will be available for purchase by end of this week, price ranging from RM1399 to RM1899. Happy shopping!

Jordan Brand Gives The Air Jordan 13 The Olive Treatment

We all love olive, whether if it comes on our pizza or a colorway of our favourite sneaker silhouette. Jordan brand is releasing a new colorway in Olive for their Air Jordan 13 and it resembles very closely to the Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive’ from 1994. This upcoming Air Jordan 13 ‘Olive’ will receive a premium treatment as we observe a full suede upper that is rarely seen on this particular silhouette. The color scheme used on this release is Black, True Red and Light Olive where Black suede replaces the Air Jordan 13 traditional leather and mesh, followed by noticeable olive accents covering the midsole and heel section. To complete the colorway, Jordan brand applies True Red accents on the branding throughout the shoe.

The Air Jordan 13 ‘Olive’ will be releasing on Nike on 18th of January with a retail price yet to be announced. Will you be copping or dropping?

Nike SB Pays Homage To The Late Lewis Marnell By Releasing A Pair In His Name

When Nike announces any sneaker release in Wheat colorway, we may raise our expectations. Nike Skateboarding (Nike SB) is releasing a pair of Nike SB Dunk Mid to pay tribute to one of Nike SB’s Australian skater, the late Lewis Marnell, who once owned the Melbourne skate scene. Lewis passed away in 2013 due to complications from diabetes and the Swoosh is paying homage by releasing a pair of SB’s in his name as the Wheat colorway was his favourite Dunks to skate in.

“Lewis skated Dunks all the time. He made them look so fresh, that we all wanted to own them so we could look the same,” said the reminiscing Shane O’Neill.

The pair features various details from ostrich-skin around the ankle area, a lion graphic on the heel area to commemorate Lewis’s signature graphic, a ‘Lewis Forever’ label behind the tongues, and a set of extra laces which are rasta-inspired. Nike also made a donation to a non-profit foundation for the benefit of diabetes research to honor Lewis and his contributions to the skate community including the Nike SB family.

The Nike SB Dunk Mid ‘Lewis Marnell’ will be available on Nike for RM439 this coming 18th of January.
