A-KID “WORK” FEATURING NINJABOI

After listening to his previous hilarious release like “Apa Lagi Kita Mau” and “Ada Awek”. A-Kid’s deadpan antics on Instagram (@akidcina) is back and this time with the release of his latest single in a form of lyric video titled “Work” featuring Malaysian ninja rap boy, Ninjaboi.

Backed by some funky, Soulection-esque production, A-Kid and Ninjaboi waxes lyrical about daily work life. Everyone has to work in order to gain or earn something that they want especially on buying cloths, shoes, house, food, going out on a date or even pay bills.

FUTUREMADE STUDIO Plays Around With Unpredictability With Latest “CRAPSHOOT” Collection

The term “Crapshoot” originated from a dice game which is very common in the gambling world. It is later on adopted as a term to express unpredictability. The idea of unpredictability is seen here as an expression of uncertainty for the label, due to being a brand from Malaysia where majority of the weather is either really hot or rainy, Futuremade is shedding the basic “t-shirt” route and opting for anything but that.

The collection features 7 pieces, 2 Noragis, 2 Vests, 1 long pants, 1 short pants and a curve camp cap. Besides the unpredictability, the other point about the collection is that the wearer can express their creativity by mix and matching the pieces from this collection with their own personal basic clothes.

The “CRAPSHOOT” collection will be launched on 3rd of July, exclusively on Futuremade’s ONLINE STORE. In the meantime, do check out the full lookbook.

Masses picks this year best Raya Ads

We are only days away to celebrate the return of Hari Raya! After a month of preparing our stomach for the incoming “all you can eat” lemang and ketupat for the weeks to come, we think it would be best for us to be a little productive by igniting the spirit of Aidilfitri with a list of this year best Raya ads.

We hope you enjoy the list.

10. Audi Malaysia “Nak Ikut Boleh Tak?”

The German automobile company highlights the unbreakable bond between siblings. The ad tells a story of a boy who has his own reason of why he loves to tag along his brother to wherever he goes.

Psst…Audi sure knows how to do product placement gracefully.

9. U Mobile x Kyoto Protocol “Maafkan Kami”

We never would have thought that seeking forgiveness could be this entertaining. U Mobile ways to reconcile and reconnect their relationships with their ex-customers (competitors included) through an original rendition of an evergreen song is just brilliant!

Hijau, Biru, Kuning…kosong-kosong okay?

8. Telekom Malaysia “Kampung Batu 311 Diselubungi Misteri”

It’s a whole different Misteri this year. TM ad shows a tale of 3 little boys who are on a mission to find baT-Man, a mysterious hero in their kampung.

7. Maxis “Wayang Sayang”

Maxis chose to portray the struggles of a couple to rekindle their relationship and save their dying marriage. What happens when the feelings fade away? Should you fake it till you make it?

6. Pelaburan Mara Berhad “Ikhlas”

The list would not be complete without adding an ad that could straight up leaking our waterworks. Watching the whole 7:55 minutes of the video is a real struggle of keeping our cheeks dry.

Top-notch performance by Faizal Hussein, Umie Aida and Que Haidar!

5. KFC “Joget Abah”

They have done a splendid job in balancing the feelings of sadness and happiness into the story. The ad centers on the theme of tradition and how a young boy going through his first Raya after losing his dad.

4. Petronas “Donut ke Karipap?”

It’s like a trip down memory lane. We all could relate to this.

People cheering “Makan..makan” while Hakim is on a football field? Shows how thorough Petronas can be when it comes to the small detailing. It couldn’t get any better than that.

3. Astro “Kisah Benar Adli & Luqman: Dari Hati Ayah”

We love how Astro is going with the strategy of adapting a real story of a 52-year-old father who decided to quit his job just so he could set up a café for his autistic son. Inspiring and touching at the same time!

2. Tenaga Nasional Berhad “Dugaan Raya Aida”

TNB Raya ad features a character called Aida, who tries to overcome a series of challenges to prepare her trip back to kampung. The ad has everything an audience could probably ask for…an interesting concept of cinematography, entertaining storyline and good production. The perfect Raya ads recipe!

Can you spot the hidden message found in the ad?

1. HyppTv “Pengorbanan Ayah”

The ending took us by surprise…what a plot twist! That was the first sentence that slipped out of our mouth after the video has ended. We salute the guys at Homegrown Digital for turning a simple idea into a one of a kind Raya ad masterpiece. For that reason…you guys deserve our number one spot for this year best Raya ads!

ADIDAS ORIGINALS CELEBRATES THE CAMPUS SHOE WITH A NEW CAMPAIGN: NO TIME TO THINK

This month, adidas Originals shines the spotlight on the Campus silhouette by dropping a trio of classic colourways highlighting the best for today. In a strictly-classic offering, the Campus receives a premium suede construction across the upper, with contrast leather 3-stripes and heel-tab details. Tonal stitching details provide structure and definition, whilst essential “CAMPUS” branding on the lateral side completes the classic. Offered in essential core black, grey and navy colourways atop a crisp white tooling, the result is a celebration of a 3-stripes icon that’s true to its roots, through and through.

No Time to Think was inspired by the downtown scene of New York in the early 90’s, a time defined by an intuitive approach to creativity, and made up of creative trailblazers. As a group, they set the pace for identifying what it means to be original, removing all inhibitions and acting out of pure instinct. Turning to a new creative set, who are linked to the downtown scene and skate culture, Blondey, Na-Kel, Tavia and Tiffany represent the faces of the Campus shoe. Photographer Kenneth Capello, a fixture to the downtown scene himself, captures the free-spirited, fearless intuition of this cast of creators in their natural habitat. Turning to a crew who are always doing it their way, this group identifies with the raw, honest attitude of the street today.

Since being introduced in the 1980’s, with its roots in sport, the Campus shoe became the coveted shoe off the basketball court. Debuting in a bold palette of burgundy and green, the shoe was a favourite amongst the emerging downtown creative scene. Today, the Campus shoe continues to embody the original raw, authentic and straightforward attitude, but re-imagined with a new relevancy. The classic trefoil logo is celebrated with a new narrative, encouraging a new community to act without hesitation and to not think twice.

The Campus footwear range retails at RM490 and it is available at all selected adidas Originals stores in KLCC, Pavilion, JD Sports, Crossover, Solewhat. Not to forget, you can also purchase the Campus footwear via online at shop.adidas.com.my
