HYPE CLOTHING CO. “Dusk & Dawn” Fall/Winter 2016 Collection

Hype Clothing Co. are delivering another monochrome collection for Fall/Winter 2016 with “Dusk & Dawn” under the tagline of “Being seen in the Dark and the Dim“. Taking after safety clothing as the main inspiration where reflective material are appropriated into a varied clothing arsenal comprising a tee, raglan, long sleeve tee, crewneck, hoodie and sweatpants.

The stripes found in the range also visualise the word “parallel”, depicting reflection as one, endless straight line seen in the mirror, something that applies to both dusk and dawn as the horizon of an ending and beginning of a day.

For those who are interested in purchasing from the Dusk & Dawn collection, you can get it now at all Hype Clothing Co. stores. Last but not least, don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Instagram!

Mudah. My Does Advertising Right In Catchy New MV

Who would have guessed that arguably one of the catchiest local songs released this week would rise from Malaysia’s largest marketplace? Moving away from yawn-inducing advertising stunts, Mudah. My instead employs the talents of Altimet, Sasi The Don and Maya Hanum for a head bopping and upbeat 4-minute music production titled “Memang Mudah”.

Between the clean and slick rhymes dished out by Altimet, Maya’s soothing vocals and Sasi The Don’s ovation-worthy reggae input by the song’s bridge, “Memang Mudah” is an all-smiles aural journey that compels you to stay glued to the video throughout. For what’s essentially a marketing stunt this is quite an amazing feat, though whether it’ll inspire you to fork out cash on the site is another story altogether.

MADNESS x Carhartt WIP Brings Mad In Progress: Episode 2

untitled-15-01

Keeping up with a strong military-inspired approach, this new collaboration brings in a resonant fuse of utility streetwear with Carhartt WIP’s heritage background in warfare and MADNESS’s eccentric aesthetics. The result is a collection that pays homage to Albert Einstein via an unorthodox reinterpretation of “E=mc2” as the reunion of two brands.

Mad In Progress: Episode 2 cherry picks from Carhartt WIP’s existing military-inspired silhouettes to build upon in this offering, including the MDCH Pea Coat and  MDCH Military Jacket. In line with their gritty military style, stone washed fabrics and Herringbone cotton are used for extra raggedness. For a more unique aesthetic, the collection also boats a variant of cropped Aviation Pants that are remade in 8.7 Patterson Canvas. Topping off the range is the addition of the Military Rib Beanie and Tramp Backpack.

The collection’s lookbook – shot in the woods and shores of Tasmania – is equally gritty and edgy thanks to the use of Polaroid and vistas. Have a look at the lookbook below:

Part of the new MADNESS x Carhartt WIP collection will be released in extremely limited quantities this Saturday, Nov 19th  at COVER in Sunway Pyramid, Crossover Flagship City Square Johor Bahru and Crossover Mid Valley Crossover. It is also available on their online store too.

However, the full collection will only be made available at COVER where MADNESS’ pop-up store is set up for a limited period. For more info regrading this release, do follow COVER by Crossover’s page here or Crossover’s official Facebook and Instagram account.

Futuremade Studio Presents Water Repellent Camp Cap & 50/50 Tee

Futuremade Studio has given a healthy injection to the fashion label’s “Guilty Pleasure” range of clothing apparel with its first mini extension for the collection, released just yesterday evening. Headlining the collection is a 6 panel camp cap, woven with water repellent material that’s perfect to brave Malaysia’s current rainy season.

Second in line is a ’50/50′ tee that derives its name from the distinct contrast in colours between both sides of the clothing piece. It’s a weird yet appealing item that’s a little reminiscent of strawberry jam and a peanut butter spread. Just don’t end up chewing the cloth!

The cap retails for RM119 a piece, while you can cop your own peanut butter and strawberry jam looking tee for RM199 each.

Deciders KL Unveils Mini Collection For November ’16

Homegrown brand DECIDERS weaves skate culture and punk rock elements together in its latest release for November, one that presents two dad hat designs for the discerning streetwear enthusiast.

One of the designs is inspired by punk rock band Bad Brains, evidenced by great resemblances in the logo embedded on the front of the headpiece. The second piece is decorated by typography on the front that spells out “No Sleep City”, though from afar it amusingly looks like a smiley emote.

Have a look at both headwear items below:
