Gent Utopia – Nudie’s Orange Thread Party!

From the distant Göteborg to the heart of Johor Bahru, Gent Utopia brought Nudie Jeans closer to you, denim lovers. Ever since then, many have been found riding the Nudie’s wave and so, Gent Utopia would like to gather all passionate Nudie fans out there who’s up for a fun evening to join in the shindig with ’em! The party will be held at Gent Utopia Enterprise, on Saturday (23rd May 2015) from 4:30PM till late.

The main highlight of the event is the launch of Nudie Jeans SS15 Collection. Other than that they will also have a live band by More Than Me to entertain ya’ll while filling your tummies with good food from the BBQ they will set up and also free flow drinks! A denim workshop will also be available at the event by Mr. Black, so if you’re interested please RSVP by dropping them an email at info@gentutopia.com before the 21st of May 2015. Last but not least, be sure to be alert for mysterious gifts you might be able to score and bring home from the event!

The “Malaysian Youth Talent” is a medium for youth out there to join and show their musical talent. It is a great to know that there is a platform for the local youngsters to show what they got and with the help from “Malaysia Youth Talent”, their talent is showcase in YouTube for thousands of people. “Malaysia Youth Talent” started back in late 2012, and ever since than they helped numbers of talented youth to make their mark. New Balance M1300JP2

The once-in-every-five-year model in the New Balance M1300JP2 is arriving for only the 4th time in history. Initially introduced in 1985, the silhouette featured superior craftsmanship complete with a Vibram sole. At the time, it was praised by runners for the superior cushioning system. Now the M1300jp2 returns outside Japan for the first time since 2010, as the Vibram outsole returns to match the original. Crafted in New Balance’s Skowhegan, Maine factory, the ‘Made in USA’ details are unmatched. The NB 1300 is only available exclusively at Sole What and will be dropping this coming Sunday (17/5/2015). Retail price is RM1099 per pair.

The ZX Flux changed the way people think about adidas and it’s been a great year for the brand with the Three Stripes and their Originals division. Here they offer a new collection of the “Floral” pack, it comes in 3 different colour way for you to choose from. Giving the ZX Flux a different look worth wearing. Enterprise: Episode One Tour

Counting down the days for the end of the week? Make it worthwhile and plan out your weekend. Here’s a suggestion in two words: Ipoh Mali!

This Saturday (May 16th 2015) Projek Rabak is collaborating with Yuna Room Records in hosting a gig at the Insider Satellite Space, Ipoh. RM15 will be charged per entry at the event and it will start at 8PM.

Local performances include: Enterprise, Dirgahayu, Swims & The Electric Ape in Stereo.

Enterprise will be the main act to showcase their “Episode One EP” which is available on iTunes. but also be sure to not miss our on Dirgahayu because this show will be part of their C! Album Tour. The Electric Ape in Stereo will be selling their “We Come In Peace” EP for the very first time during the show!

monoloQue – “Ringgit” (Official Music Video)

The doctor; monoloQue never turns back from pursuing “new sound” for his next material. monoloQue just came out with a new music video for the single “Ringgit” which is the first single taken from his upcoming untitled sophomore album. According to him, the upcoming album will be the sequel from his debut trilogy, “Hikayat Halimunan Abad Ke-21”. The video is directed by Kadir Chan and all the visual effects and animations done by the team of Entropy. What i can say about this whole song and art direction for “Ringgit” is purely genius. Something super new to the local music scene. Eventhough the song is composed with 100% digital instruments (no guitars at all!) but you can still hear the traditional roots along the way. The art direction for the video is so simple; wandering around the city with weird gestures (very post-Radiohead/Thom Yorke-ish) and also you can spot Diana Danielle in the song (not flag covered). “Ringgit” is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer etc. For more info you can head down here.

You might know this guy by the internet name Point8cam. A Malaysian skateboard videographer cum film maker, Nasri, had more than 5 years of professional experience in the local industry. Together with his wife and travel partner, Hanie Hidayah, they combined their expertise and passion to share their followers journeys filled with people, experiences and culture. In the latest post by Whatever There Was, Nasri and Co. travelled to Sarawak to pays a visit to his long house in Long Selatong. Pestle & Mortar’s The Creator Cache presents Kenji Chai

Local streetwear heavyweights, Pestle & Mortar teamed up with prominent graffiti artist, Kenji Chai to produce a collection together. The collection comes under The Creator Cache, a new platform started by PnM to discover and feature local talents and to put them in the spotlight. Through The Creator Cache, Pestle and Mortar brings forth the persona and colours of Kenji Chai through a collection of clothes that consists of headwear, t-shirts, cut & sew pieces, a handy pouch and a tote bag.

Titolo x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Papercut”

Switzerland based retailers; Titolo aligned with ASICS to become the next GL3 collaborator. With ‘scherenschnitt‘ which translates to English as ‘papercut‘ as the sole inspiration, the team takes the Switzerland’s most iconic traditional precision craft works into the features of the shoe. The silhouette dominated by the magnificent coating of black suede on the upper, with lava-ish red accented around the board. Highlighting the shoe is the delicate patterns that are the inspiration for this design, rendered in black on the off-white sock liner, white sides stripes, and the insole. Final touches are the male and female icon guarding on both heels. Titolo x ASICS Gel Lyte III is scheduled to be out this Saturday (16th May) at Sole What.
