The Lounette Encapsulates The Beauty Of Love In Their New Single, ‘These Nights’

In times of minimal human contact, with dislike and hate proliferating through social spheres, blaming one another for problems that aren’t even theirs, it’s a relief almost to see and know that some people are not allowing this to happen within their spheres, and a new duo, The Lounette wants to instead celebrate love and the sanctity of it in their latest single, “These Nights.”

Dubbed as a combination of R&B and Neo-soul, “These Nights” celebrates love in its entirety, opening its MV with a poem by Daing Zahira, before highlighting various other couples with Razziq (the lead singer) delicately singing the details of what makes love so great. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Snoh Aalegra. Amy Winehouse, and Lana Del Rey, “These Nights” employ a slow, chilled tune that reflects the air very well, replete with multiple themes that not only suggests, but assures that love is omnipresent around us, from the platonic love between fmaily members and friends, to the more romantically inclined love in between partners.

Stream “These Nights” now on Spotify and Apple Music.

Malaysian Official Designers Association Is Helping To Raise Money To Provide Personal Protection Equipment To Frontliners

As the fight goes on for our dedicated and hardworking frontliners, the necessary equipment and supplies are steadily depleting for them to fight the disease head-on with confirmed safety, and the Malaysian Official Designer’s Association (MODA) are helping to raise money to buy supplies and sew new PPE hospital gowns for the frontliners.

These gowns are of paramount importance to the frontliners so that they don’t contract the disease themselves when dealing with patients or screening patients. The money used during this campaign will be used to buy the fabric to be distributed to designers and volunteers involved to sew new PPE hospital gowns in order to keep up with the decreasing supply.

The details to donate are listed below.

SUICOKE Collaborates With VIBRAM Five Fingers In Conjunction With The SS20 Collection

Quirky shoes are back in again, and in this Spring Summer 2020 showcase, SUICOKE has partnered up with VIBRAM to present a FIVEFINGERS collaboration as part of the brand’s SS20 offerings.

SUICOKE aesthetics are married to VIBRAM’s foot technology, enabling a versatile, minimalist footwear solution that function over form. 3D Cocoon Mesh makes up the upper to offer protection from sharp objects by dispersing the force of the impact and absorbed by the mesh. The specialised sole pattern also provides stability, and traction of its sandals with guaranteed longevity. As the shoe is designed with individual toe pockets (hence the name), this is a shoe that gives you maximum barefoot feel with maximum protection in the outdoors.

There are two cut types, one being the high-cut and short-cut, each featured with 3 different colours wiht the high cut going for approximately RM 1000, and the low cut priced at RM 957.

However, if you are more inclined to SUICOKE’s more traditional offerings, all models come in bright and new colourways while still retaining the qualities that SUICOKE is known for, such as the strap-tightening system, anti-bacterial EVA footbed, and thick cuts for better shock absorption. Creativity Cannot Be Quarantined With Son of A Policeman’s Latest Single “What We Do”

Written by Charmaine

Ever since their last single, “Sunrise Magic”, Malaysia’s indie pop band, Son of A Policeman has consistently been on the up and up with their newest track “ What We Do.”

Amidst the decidedly nihilistic lyrics, the song counteracts it with funky licks of the guitar and a cheerful drum beat to it as the song picks up, asking people that there’s always a silver lining regardless of the doom and gloom that one is put in.

Therefore, even through tough times like this amidst the RMO period, the band had still managed to put together a creative quirky video of themselves jamming in their balconies and kitchen. It also features fans from not just Malaysia but across the globe grooving to the song as well, watch the music video, and you might even see a familiar face or two.

Stream it all right now on Spotify and Apple music

Check out the song and let us know what you think !
