LA-based artist, Oliver Payne has helped to translate their energy and style into the collection by mixing up his own skills into it.

“To reflect the different styles amongst GENERATIONS, we wanted to create a new take on American university-style by combining classic collegiate wear with modern graphics and various motifs from punk fashion circa 1977.” – Oliver Payne.

This collection includes a wide range of everyday pieces. From Tees, coach jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, denim jackets, jeans, sweats, and track pants. Each garment showcases the GUESS and GENERATIONS identities in different ways while still keeping the scholarly vibe as the main theme of the collection.

“Coming off a very well-received first collection with GENERATIONS in 2018, we’ve continued the dialogue for volume II. Being able to bring in an artist like Oliver Payne has added a different layer to the relationship and project. I’m a big fan of Oliver’s work in the art world and he brought in an interesting twist to the story we are telling with GENERATIONS.” – Nicolai Marciano, Art Director & Director of Brand Partnerships at GUESS.

GUESS x GENERATIONS collection will be available starting in March 2020 at GUESS Pavilion

The Air Jordan 3 “Unite” Brings The Best Of Chicago In One Silhouette

At first glance, this latest colourway of the Air Jordan 3 draws very close similarities to the obscenely expensive DJ Khaled “Grateful” Jordan 3s, but there are a few differences that differentiates the price tags for both models. Though the colourways grows from the same roots, they have very different stories.

The “Unite” harkens back to Michael Jordan’s Golden Era, specifically during the All-Star Weekend when he controversially leaped from the free-throw line to win the Slam Dunk contest. But look closer with a magnifier, and you’ll see very subtle changes to the height of the toebox, detailings to the elephant-print, as well as the tongue lining in an attempt to recapture the original shape of the 88′ silhouette.

This is the closest retro to have ever come to the original, and if you ask us, it’s one of the best looking 3s yet.

The Air Jordan 3 “Unite” drops this Friday on Nike.com for a price of RM 815.

PUMA Taps J. Cole To Release ‘The Sky Dreamer’ Collection

Written by Ardi Hamedani

Puma just announced their latest partnership with Grammy-winning artist J.Cole. A short film and TV commercial has been produced, directed by Cole himself. The concept of going after one’s dream, regardless of the difficulties and problems faced on the journey is the main idea behind this film.

The reason behind choosing J.Cole is for his connection to basketball, fashion and music. Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand & Marketing at PUMA, says this about J.Cole’s role in this collaboration ” Cole’s involved in product creation, marketing campaigns and cultural guidance. He is going to be a key player in many of the things we do at PUMA moving forward”.

He says “ Cole sits at the intersection of music and sport and represents everything that PUMA stands for as a brand”.

This collaboration was announced right after the latest Hoops update, The Sky Dreamer. The Sky Dreamer is a reworked Sky LX, worn on-court in the ‘80s. It has come back with the retro-inspired mid-top silhouette with a modern touch. Cole’s brand, Dreamville has also come in play with the “Dreamer” emblem designed on the shoe.

PUMA Hoops athletes will be wearing the sneakers on and off the court and J.Cole has already shown them off over the past few months.

The Sky Dreamer is the first of many Hoops products that Cole will be involved in before dropping his own Dreamer footwear and apparel coming later this year with PUMA.

The Sky Dreamer retails for RM659 and is now available in PUMA KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion, Queensbay Mall & Aeon Tebrau City.

You Can Now Customise Emojis On Android

Google is letting your imagination run wild

Written by Aqil Nasri

Emojis have been a staple of modern communications ever since its introduction to a keyboard. From the seemingly simple smiley that you’d type using : and ) to the more advanced yellow smiley versions that we’ve come to know and love. But, after prolonged usage of these emojis, don’t you wish that you could somehow customize and combine them? Like for example, combine a winking face to a monkey emoji? Well, now you can.

Google has allowed people to be more expressive with others by introducing a new feature to the Gboard for Android, in which it lets you create a mashup of different emoji. Called the Emoji Kitchen, this new feature lets you mix and match your favourite emoji into customized stickers.

Then, from the newly customized emoji sticker that you’ve created, you can share them on other apps that allow the usability of Gboard, such as Whatsapp, Telegram, Snapchat, and more.

Emoji Kitchen has been released for Android users who have Gboard. However, if you can’t seem to see the update, remember to keep checking as it may take some time for the update to be fully released to everyone in the world.

What kind of creations (or abominations) will you make with Google’s new update for the Gboard? Share with us below!

Sweetass Portrays The Fragile, Naive Youth Outgrowing An Imaginary World In Their New Single, “Celaka.””

Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Nirvana. These are the bands used to describe local grunge outfit Sweetass, and the band have delivered another energetic banger with the release of “Celaka.”

Portraying the naive youth growing out of its insulating imaginary world and into reality, director John Hafiz envisions what Celaka, or foul means, in the form of a so-called friend dancing like an asshole at the corner while everyone progressively regresses to their naked, and shittiest form. Kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sebelanga, it only takes one asshole to bring everyone down, while he bides his time, waiting to become the wedge between you and the easily dirtied cloth of youthful romance.

Listen to the banger now on Youtube and on all major streaming platforms.

7 Ways To Utilise Your Small Bags

Written by Andrea Tang

Small bags are making big waves as the one of the trendiest bags ever since French luxury brand Jacquemus first revived the trend three years ago. From luxury brands like Prada and even Longchamp to streetwear brands like Carhatt and BAPE, small bags can be seen on the runways and the streets.

This begs the question, why are small bags even coming back in trend?

Back in the early 1900s, ladies carried small bags as they were considered to be a symbol of elegance and wealth. In a way, it still is a status symbol today to a certain extent. Carrying a small bag also feels freer, literally taking the weight off your shoulders. Minimalism is also a huge thing, and having a small bag makes you carry and worry less.

Practicality is not the deciding factor of this trend, but rather a way to add a little (pun intended) quirkiness to your outfit.

You’ve got a small bag, but how do you make the best out of its tiny storage space?

Here are 7 tips for you to best utilise your small bags:

Only Bring The Essentials

Essential items vary from person to person. Some people need to bring a hand sanitiser out, others might need to bring headphones. In any case, narrow it down to the things you absolutely need. Any “just in case” items that you may not need can be left at home.

Opt For Smaller Pouches Or Wallets

Switch your big and chunky wallets to something sleek and compact like cardholders. Since we’re also living in a digital era, physical cash is not as important as it used to be. Just bringing your credit or debit cards will do the trick!

Plus, it also helps you to minimise the amount of stuff you store in them.

Get Rid Of Cards That You Don’t Use Often

You don’t need all those membership cards, gift cards, and loyalty cards in your bag. Instead, leave them in your car or keep in mind which brands do not require you to present a physical card.

Don’t Hoard Receipts In Your Bag

Receipts are important, yes, but that doesn’t mean you should leave them to swim around in your bag.

Instead, take the receipts out of your bag once you get home. Store and organise the ones you want to keep in a container, and throw away those you don’t need.

Play Tetris With Your Things

Sadly, you can’t just dump all your things in a small bag and go. But if you love a good game of tetris, then organising your things in a small bag would be fun for you! Plus, it also helps you to stay organised.

Use Different Small Containers To Store Your Things

Use different compact containers you would’ve never thought of to store your things. Some great examples would be using a contact lens case for your everyday pills or using your glasses case to store your cables!

Clean Out Your Bag Regularly

Make sure you take the time to clean out your bag. Practise taking out the things you don’t need and putting in the things that you do according to the occasion. For example, bringing along your powerbank if you’re going to be out for the whole day and leaving it at home if you’ll only be out for a couple of hours.

Now, you don’t have to worry about stuff overflowing out of your small bag with these tips!

Tell us, what are some other tips you guys have?

goodtimes Accentuates Simplicity With Their Latest Drop Titled (Nothing But) Flowers

If you’re a fan of earthy toned, comfortable and high quality clothing, Good Timeshave always delivered consistently without fail. Inspiration is drawn from the lyrics of a song by Talking Heads, namely (Nothing But) Flowers.

David Byrne, the frontman penned a message imbued within the lyrics, who spoke of a society that abandoned urbanisation and reverted back to a more nature dominant period, a euphemism on how civilisation must learn to survive without the privileges that the urban jungle provides by way of satirical jabs to the modern man who has relied too heavily on modern conveniences, tunneled by the greediness of humanity.

A sequel to the brand’s previous collection dubbed “Calm Oasis,” Good Times continues on reminding the audience to pay more attention to social and environmental issues. The collection comprises of 5 tees, 2 shirts, 2 pants, a hoodie, and a pouch bag, withe the highlight piece being the long coat shirt that’s adjustable in length and doubles as an outer coat as well as a regular-length shirt. The sleeves also detach to become a workwear shirt.

The colourways stay true to the concept, employing a series of green and grey fabrics to signify the relationship between nature and the concrete jungle as the brand continues to narrate societal issues through fashion.

The collection is spread across 4 drops, comprising of 4 items each, with the first drop available to purchase now.

(Nothing But) Flowers is available to purchase at Sick Reading Party, Mano Plus, Ilaika Select, and Hundred%.

New Balance Launches The 850 Along With The Heritage And Inspire The Dream Pack

Rewinding the clocks and going back in time

Written by Aqil Nasri

New Balance has recently had a launch event for the 850, making its comeback with a modern, more energetic twist after its initial debut in the ‘90s. Along with the 850, New Balance has also released the Heritage Pack and the Inspire the Dream Pack at the launch event, with the former focusing on ‘70s retro style and the latter as an ode to Black History Month. The launch event was held at Slate At The Row KL, with many celebrity guests and artists making their appearances as well, notably Altimet, Jaclyn Victor, Hunny Madu, Sharifah Sakinah, and more.

After more than two decades since its debut, the 850 leverages on the sneaker’s alternative design without the traditional N logo sidewall, which is a radical shift for New Balance back in 1996. With expressive colour blocking and premium material plays, the newly redesigned sneaker also features a classic ABZORB midsole to offer support and stability. Plus, with an upper combining mesh, leather, webbing and reflective details and a full rubber outsole, the 850 is the true definition of contemporary ‘90s aesthetic with its own unique personality.

The 850 is set at a price of RM439, available in a new colourway at all New Balance Experience stores.

Heritage Pack

The company did not just stop at the 850 however, as they also announced the new “Heritage Pack”, bringing back the ‘70s to the 2020s. This ensemble is highlighted by the COMP100 sneaker, a revival of the old COMP100 while still staying true to its ‘70s character with a sleek and low-profile silhouette and formed by a leather upper supported by a Vibram MegaGrip outsole unit for superior traction. It doesn’t end there though, as the pack also features a full range of apparel, from colourful polyester jackets to graphic tees and sick bottoms.

With a price range between RM89 to RM469, the “Heritage Pack” is available at all New Balance Experience stores.

Inspire the Dream Pack

And last but not least, New Balance has released a pack dedicated to Black History Month, aptly named the “Inspire the Dream Pack”. The pack is featured by the 850, 997, OMN1S, and the 574, with all of the sneakers in the pack being inspired by decorated athletes like basketball player Kawhi Leonard.

The “Inspired the Dream Pack” is available at New Balance Pavilion KL, Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley Megamall, and Mid Valley Southkey.
