Homegrown LEGO aficionado Adly Syairi Ramly returns with a newest collection of LEGOlized Minifigures, this time his applying highly-tuned details onto the members of the HYPEBEAST 100. The artist is widely recognized for transforming these classic plastic bricks into eerily accurate makeups of some the most iconic names in the fashion industry. For 2016, Adly Syairi miniaturizes the few well known people like Kanye West, Virgil Abloh, Ronnie Fieg, Jerry Lorenzo, Neek Lurk, Lev Tanju, Alexander Wang, Raf Simons, Alex Olson, Fujiwara Hiroshi, Gosha Rubchinsky, James Jebbia, Sk8thing and Toby Feltwell, Jun Takahashi, Kyle Ng, and Hiroki Nakamura as LEGO brick art.

Emir Hermono’s Latest Single “021” Feat. Ariel Nayaka and Rayi Putra

After a successful releases of 3AM in Jakarta and Fake Friends, Emir Hermono now returns to release the third single from his upcoming EP 3AM in Jakarta, 021 with the help of none other than Ariel Nayaka who’ve been featured previously on 3AM in Jakarta and Rayi Putra, a singer, rapper and actor of the R&B-Pop group RAN.

Ariel Nayaka isn’t a stranger anymore, previously collaborating with Emir Hermono for 3AM Jakarta, the south Jakarta based rapper continues to express his obsession with love in 021. Rayi Putra is a member of an Indonesian R&B-pop outfit called RAN. After releasing 4 albums with the group and going solo for a while, the talented rapper, singer and actor joins forces with Emir Hermono and Ariel Nayaka to sweep you off your feet.

Million Apparel – “Good Therapy 2016 Collection”

Moving out from the familiar playground of typography and graphic print, fellows from Million Apparel has released their newest drop called “Good Therapy”. Within this collection it consist of 9 design of tee and 3 colourways of classic polo hat to choose from. The brand tend to release the collection with “back to basic” looks with the pack by the logo itself for every Good Therapy 2016 collection.

Using classic script logo on two tone cotton in three colour ways form Grey, Navy and Maroon. As for “The Maryjane” design, due to popular demand they’ve made a new restock which comes in new colour ways. It doesn’t stop there too, if you notice the black tee called the “Good Therapy” the brand has improve it print with gradient to make it look more lavish to it.

As everyone know, Christmas is just around the corner, one of the holiday seasons that people around the world cherish and celebrate it with their loved ones.
Christmas will never be the same without any jingles to it, here’s some Christmas Cover Song that MASSES gathered for you this holiday season.

  1. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by 4JC Brothers

4JC Brothers is one of the Local Musicians that cover popular songs that can be heard on Spotify, YouTube and on radio. Four of them are blood brothers and originated from Penang, and grew up loving music when they started covering songs on their YouTube Channel.

2. “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Elizabeth Tan

This Christmas Song is performed by one of our local musicians, Elizabeth Tan. She’s one of Malaysia’s most outstanding musicians who cover some pop culture songs and even has her own record label. Her voice is indeed charming that keeps the Christmas Spirit going just by the sound of her voice through your ears. Elizabeth Tan’s version of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is more of a country feel to which brings people a certain type of warmth while listening to it.

3. Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) by An Honest Mistake & Friends

An Honest Mistake is a local pop-rock band who covers popular songs and produces originals songs. They often do collaborations with their friends to sing out some pretty impressive tunes through their voices and with the music they produce or cover.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is one of the Christmas Classic that have been on cover by lots of artists and YouTubers throughout the years. Wanted Symphony is also another one of the Local Musicians who produce his own original songs and he even done some cover songs for his YouTube channel. This versions of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is leaning more towards a Jazz feel compared to Elizabeth Tan’s, which brings people a Soul Pop kind of feel towards it.

Throughout the years there has been many kinds of Classic Christmas songs covers performed by celebrities and YouTubers. Last Christmas is also another one of the Christmas Classic originally performed by a band name Wham! back in 1986. Taner Patrick is an International YouTuber who covers different type of Pop songs, his version of Last Christmas is a little more into Rock genre but still maintaining the soul in his version of Last Christmas.

TAPAUfest 2016 Is Finally Official!

Who says organizing an event is easy as A, B, C ? Unless you have a lot “$$$” yes, we’re talking about money. One of the hardest part of the whole process is finding enough funds. Funding pretty much determines how good an experience for festivalgoer will get.

As you all may know, TAPAUfest is an annual day-out event where you’ll get to experience a truly Malaysian festival, discover talents the independent scene has to offer, and connect with a young and passionate community who are striving for greatness day in day out. After successfully organised the first ever TAPAUfest making it the FIRST & THE BIGGEST CROWDFUNDED FESTIVAL in South East Asia back in 2014. Within 30 days, the Tapau team were able to surpass their goal of RM85,000 and raised RM87,705 all thanks to the support of our indie community.

This time, TAPAUfest has finally made it’s official announcement which the team managed to reach their funding goals within a week before the start of their event with the help of their main sponsors, Vans Malaysia. It’s really happening this coming 31st December 2016, making it a perfect occasion to celebrate a great year in Malaysia’s independent scene.

So what are waiting for ? Instead of wasting time doing nothing on your new year eve why not come to this lovely event and support our local scene. Christmas is just around the corner and what is the best time to spend your holiday season without having hanging around at home or bored yourself to death ? Don’t worry we got you covered, if you’re a social  kinda person (festivalgoers) well why not get yourself into Raising The Bar (RTB) 6th Anniversary party to start your day.

Within this prestigious festival, there will be rap performance by Altimet, Aman Ra, Ninjaboi, Kayda and DJ Vin at the Bee Publika. We’ve seen the birth of so many good rappers like Teh Tarik Crew’s inevitable comeback and now, the debut of Luqman’s A.K.A Luqman Podolski alter ego Rich Ninggal, all at the best rap show in town.

PRO-Keds Fall 2016 Collections

PRO-Keds have released their new  collections for this Fall 16 Holiday Season by adding a new set of material such as Nylon for water resistant and a set of new Colour-Way for their Canvas design but still maintaining the 1940s basketball staple silhouettes for the Royal Hi and Lo.

The collections are mocked up with different colour-ways and set atop of white rubber outsole with the classic red and navy blue stripe over the side for people who’s into the OG sneakers to rock with this Holiday Season. PRO-Keds customary “Power-Stripes” are embellished across the outer midsole. White laces feature contrasting looks and stitching resides well, alongside a brushed metal eyelets and an off-white canvas interior lining. Nonetheless, branding is seen elsewhere on the upper outside ankle with a circular PRO-Keds screen hit.

Reebok Club C x Crossover “Match Point”

Reebok has once again joined forces with Crossover, a Malaysia premium sneaker boutique.

Reebok is collaborating with Crossover for one of its classic model from year 1986 , the vintage Club C, which means Champion. The project gives the classic model an all-white leather treatment with tennis net inspired detailing on the side deck, with embossed stitching and lines marking synonymous to a tennis court. The tennis racquet string pattern can also be seen on its leather tongue, which bare the Reebok classic logo with Crossover’s slogan of “Be Reasonable, Demand the Impossible” etched on the back. Netting pattern on the black colour insole adds a dash of colour and contrasting affect to the classic model.

A newly added feature to the model, is the heel loop which represents a practical & functional addition to the shoes, while remaining true to its classic off-white sole. The shoes comes with two sets of shoe laces of white and blue pairs, with gold aglets, symbolising a sense of elite-ism that is commonly associated with the sport.
