The Right Pair of Jeans: Women’s Edition
Picking the right pair of jeans is not easy. You might get into a store and found the perfect-looking jeans but once you tried them on, it’s just disappointing. Here, we have categorised and picked the type of jeans that are suitable for the different types of body.
1) Tall and Long

If you are tall and well, we supposed long legs too? You might want to go for the flared bottom jeans or the boyfriends jeans. Yes, we do know flared bottom sounds a little too 1970’s but this hippie style is back in trend this Spring! Boyfriend jeans can also be your next option.
2) Hourglass

Slim cut will look best for this body type. Why hide your curves when you can accentuate them while wearing the perfect type of jeans? Another tip would be try going for solid colour as faded ones will thicken the appearance of your legs.
3) Plus-sized

Don’t be afraid to wear what you like. Just pick the right one and look good in it! The classic boot-cut for the plus-sized body types. This type of jeans are usually tight to the knee and then flare out slightly to the hem. Another option you would want to go for are the high-waisted ones. This high-waisted garment usually rests above the wearer’s hip, which helps as a layer to cover the stomach.
4) Petite

The petites usually are frustrated when it comes to deciding which is the best type of jeans for them. We have the answer for you! Go for the straight-leg ones. This straight-leg cut will create an illusion of longer legs which means one less problem!

The Borak-Borak Sessions: B-Boy, Lego Sam
Introduce yourself to our readers
My name is Lego Sam, I was born in 1995 which makes me 20 years old this year. Being a full-time dancer means I spend most of my time training for shows and competitions. I judge competitions too!
How did you start dancing/B-Boying?
Actually my interest in dancing sparked when I was very young. I used to watch the TV and I was inspired by traditional African dances which consists of lots of jumping movements which I would practice a lot at home. Up to when I was 13, I heard that my friend was attending dancing classes in a more serious way, which led me to join him.
Biggest achievement so far that you’re most proud of?
Winning Red Bull BC One this year would be my proudest moment because I’ve been wanting this for as long as I could remember. Red Bull BC One has got to be every B-Boy’s dream to win.
Other than dancing, what are your other interests?
I collect Stüssy! I’m a die hard fan of Stüssy actually. But to be honest, I dedicate most of my time to training because my profession requires it.
What do you wish someone had told you when you were younger as an inspiring dancer?
If you want to really do something like dancing, you just have to keep going. Don’t think about the negative side. Just be yourself and set a target to reach and work hard towards it.
Check out Lego Sam’s Youtube Channel to watch his videos and stay updated on his Facebook Page.
