AKHYLA is an international collective of producers, visual artists and musicians where art always comes first. This group full of talent was founded back in 2014 in Kuala Lumpur. Volume One is their first compilation mixtape together in celebration of their first anniversary as AKHYLA. From the first track to the last, the flow is smooth throughout, yet still very diverse with each of the 10 producer’s bold and distinct style that comes through. Each track can be just as effective individually or as part of a journey within the 12 tracks of the mixtape; that’s the beauty of it. Definitely a bold statement within the realms of electronic music, guys!

H3 – “Childish” (Official Audio)

Well-known in Malaysia’s Electro and Dubstep music scene, H3 just premiered his latest track, “Childish” on The Boombox Show on Capital FM (88.9FM in Klang Valley) last week and less than 24 hours ago, he made the track available on his YouTube and also Soundcloud. Give it a listen and fall into the bass madness!

H3 will be performing alongside Showtek, Kaskade, Ferry Corsten and many more at It’s The Ship 2015, happening on the 20th of November 2015.

Confession Live in Kuala Lumpur

After putting to rest on his previous musical journey, Michael Crafter (ex-vocalist of I Killed The Prom Queen, Bury Your Dead, Carpathian) formed a new band in 2008, Confession. Offering a punch of melodic hardcore, the band from Melbourne, Australia has released one EP, “Can’t Live, Can’t Breathe”, and three albums; “Cancer”, “The Long Way Home”, and “Life and Death”, on Resist Records. In support of their latest release, they will be performing in KL on the 22nd of August 2015 with special guest, Annalynn from Thailand. The venue will be at the newly re-open venue, Alt HQ. Imagine Dragons’ Battle of the Bands

Imagine Dragons will be performing live in Singapore for their “Smoke + Mirrors” Tour and Universal Music Malaysia is organizing “Battle of the Bands” competition where the winner will have the chance to fly to Singapore on an all-expense paid to catch Imagine Dragon live at the Singapore Indoor Stadium plus, get to meet them up close and personal.

Upload a 1-minute long video on Facebook performing any of Imagine Dragons’ songs off their latest album, “Smoke + Mirrors” with the hashtag #imaginedragonsbotb #smokeandmirrorstour. 6 of the finalists will be announced to compete at the Grand Finale at The Bee on the 16th of August 2015. Royal Selangor Collaborates with Disney for an Epic Collection

The force is strong with this one as Royal Selangor just announced the epic collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, bringing you a collection to commemorate the worldwide popular culture phenomenon and also one of the most successful movie franchises of all time, STAR WARS. The collaboration will see Royal Selangor introducing Star Wars-themed pewter merchandise and accessories over the next three years, with the first line-up will be launched this August. The first line-up consists of limited edition figurines as well as collectibles accessories such as cufflinks, flash drives, tumblers and tankards.

Vans 2015 DIY SHOWDOWN

This year’s Vans presents Go Skateboarding Day featured the 2015 D.I.Y Showdown, where local shops and skate crews will team up in a battle to design, build and shred their own custom obstacle. As a Malaysian, we are proud to witness the representatives from Malaysia team, who DIY-ed the ramp for the skate community to skate on- the Shah Alam crew, Kiara crew as well as the Putrajaya Challenge Park (PCP) crew.

Each team would create their own video, which becomes their entry submission. Total 4 teams will be selected as winners, 3 by the Vans Intentional Team and another team with the highest votes. So, show some love to them by voting at Van’s website, starting from from now until July 24, 2015.

Bunkface – “Darah Muda” (Official Music Video)

Anticipation has been rising among pop-punk listeners since their breakthrough in the mainstream music industry. Bunkface, Klang Valley-based pop-punkers have dropped a new music video for the song, “Darah Muda”, off their latest album “Malam Ini Kita Punya”. Being the most laid-back release ever by Sam, Paan, and Youk, they’ve decided to do something special with the music video, compiling footages of their travelogue to Ishikawa, Japan, Sam’s marriage and live footages from several of their shows.
