Kirai began in late 2013 producing net bags carefully sewn by DBLA, and I should highlight the fact that the artwork printed on all Kirai products are originally designed by Rico himself. Kirai has just released 2 tote bag designs: “Hypocrisy” & “Son of Sun”, and also a T-Shirt. His artworks consists of dark symbolic elements which also reflects on the collection as you can check out in the photos above. If you’re interested in picking up a tote bag, be sure to know that with every purchase comes with a silkscreen poster and a sticker of the design!

Roshan Menon – A Journey of Capturing Human Emotions

Living in Kuala Lumpur immediately drives us to live life on the fast lane. It’s a never ending process of upgrades where gadgets are getting slimmer and buildings are vertically rising above our heads. In the hassle and bustle of our busy lifestyles under the influence of technology and money, we tend to forget about the simplicity of happiness. A young photographer named Roshan Menon has taken on a priceless journey to Kampung Segambut Dalam, Hartamas last February with the company of his fellow friend who is also a photographer, Razlan Yusof to remind society on the innocence of lives on the other side of Hartamas through the lens of his camera shown above.

adidas Consortium x UNDFTD x BAPE Superstar 80s

Streetwear royalty, UNDEFEATED and BAPE ( A Bathing Ape) have gotten together with adidas once again to rework the classic Superstar 80s silhouette. These all-star collab comes in black and white leather upper with some not so subtle hints of BAPE camouflage on the tongue, heel, and medial stripes. The inspiration behind this collaboration is the Los Angeles  Mexican-American subculture. Both pairs are finished off stylishly with the iconic BAPE head logo and UNDFTD five strike logo embossed in gold on the exterior. 

The adidas Consortium x UNDFTD x BAPE will be retailing at RM499 per pair, and will be available exclusively at JUICE KL next Saturday ( 18/4/15 ).

AYAQ™ made its debut by participating in all sorts of events throughout all corners of Kuala Lumpur. Its minimalistic features on the packaging of the brand are eye-catching. This brand of beverage founded by 3 brothers; Pett Suhaimi, Azhar Suhaimi and Asyraf Suhaimi were introduced somewhere in 2014. AYAQ™ Botoi offers 3 different beverages which are AYAQ Kopi(Black), AYAQ Kopi(White) and AYAQ Teh. These beverages are made traditionally with no preservatives what so ever. According to Pett, the idea of AYAQ™ Botoi was initially from the other brother, Asyraf who wanted to commercialize the tradition of coffee/tea recipe that has been used down through their generations 50 years ago by their late grandfather in Perak. The word AYAQ™ came from the likes of North Malaysia’s dialect of pronouncing water (air in malay) as ayaq. These 3 brothers were born & raised from Bagan Serai, Perak thus the reason of choosing the name, AYAQ,  in addition to its uniqueness.

The concept is based on traditional original taste with new packing & style of product presentation as they want to set a new par & concept to this traditional coffee or ‘Kopi Kampong’ and share it with everyone. They plan to increase the scale of production and expand their market through the whole of Peninsular, Sabah & Sarawak. Other than that, they are also planning on producing other types of coffee and tea with variety of tastes as well. Currently, their products are available through most of the food and social events and some boutique cafes in Klang Valley. WUF & PUF: Money Hunter

Wuf & Puf is a local brand that started up back in 2014, and has just recently published the lookbook of their second collection, under the name “Money Hunter”. Inspiration for this collection is based on people who are in possession of power, and those who suffer because of them. This collection also features 3 pieces of clothing: 2 short sleeve T-shirts & a long-sleeve T-Shirt which you can check out above. Don’t forget to check out the lookbook of their first collection which reminds me of the film, Gummo, with all the street vibes it gives.
