Watch Lunadira’s ‘Stuck With You’ Music Video

Now that you’ve listened and probably felt a type of way with Lunadira’s new song, the songstress debuts her new music video, which visualises the ambiguity and turmoil of a mellowing relationship. Most of the concept work is done by Nadira with art direction and styling set by Lizzie, allowing a sensory breakthrough when it comes to recreating doubt and confusion.

The heartbreak then, is represented metaphorically through the flowers, omnipresent in the video; from holding it precariously in her hands, to tearing it apart in a symbolic representation of one’s journey through love and lost.

If you wanna catch more of Nadira, her next gig will be performing at Good Vibes Festival on the 21st of July, 2018. Or follow her on her Twitter here!

A New Women’s Exclusive Air Jordan Is Dropping Tomorrow

Premium Detailing

Personal opinion. I absolutely love some of the women’s exclusive colourways, and most times during its release I get very disappointed that it’s not available for men’s as well, such as this one.

The women’s iteration of the Air Jordan 1 has had many different variations, but the additional canvas foxing on the midsole certainly adds some discreet details without ruining the shoe’s silhouette. The upper is done up in Sail and Desert Sand, with Metallic Red Bronze detailing on the Air Jordan logo as well as the aglets. Canvas detailing is also cladded in matching colourways, keeping it subtle until closer inspection. All in all, a very neutral colour that matches well with any outfit thrown.

The WMNS Air Jordan 1 Retro Premium retails for approximately RM 579 and is available for purchase on the 5th of June at Nike.

Nike Unsheathes Malaysia’s Fangs With The New National Jersey

We’ve had several great designs for the national jersey in the previous years, but we think this has to be one of the best as of yet. The essence of the ‘Harimau Malaya’ is now transplanted directly into the new home kit in the form of tiger stripes. The graphics adorn the shirt fully, with a muted variation of yellow used to colour the jersey. The shirt is also the first one to bear the new Football Association of Malaysia crest.

Away from home setting, the team’s alternate shirt takes inspiration from the Jalur Gemilang of the Malaysian flag, coloured in a solid blue body with red shoulders and sleeves, finished off with white shorts and blue socks.

The Harimau Malaya home and away kit is available to purchase at leading Nike outlets this fall.

Before Boost took over the sneaker scene in 2016, runners or more commonly known as trainers were reigning in the sneaker scene. Back in 2015, the Gel Lyte III silhouette from Asics celebrated its 15th Anniversary. The Gel Lyte III silhouette is arguably the favorite among runner collectors that Asics has to offer. Today, we will introduce to you some of the Gel Lyte III grails that were released and without delaying any further, let’s begin!

Asics Gel Lyte III x David Z ‘Vader’

When Ronnie Fieg was working for David Z back then as a designer, Asics approached David Z for a collaboration. Many people believe that the inspiration behind this collaboration is from Star Wars’ Darth Vader character. There are only 200 pairs worldwide. This pair is definitely one of the harder pairs to find in the market, with a resell price ranging from $500 – $1,000.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Navy Aqua’

One of Ronnie Fieg’s collaboration with Asics, where 252 pairs were only produced worldwide. This pair was only exclusive to David Z’s shop in Soho and online. A pair many collectors are not willing to let go that comes with a resell price tag of $900 to $1,500.

There are only 250 pairs of the red pair and 300 pairs of the grey colorway worldwide. Resell price of each range from $500 – $800.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Woei ‘Cervidae’

To commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Woei ‘Patta’s et Pret a Porter’, Woei collaborated with Asics on the Gel Lyte III silhouette which was inspired by distinct fur markings of a forest frolicking fawn. Expect resell prices of $500 to $700 for this pair.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Culture Shoq x Ronnie Fieg/David Z

There were two parts of this collaboration, where the first one was a collaboration between Asics, Culture Shoq and David Z while the second one was a collaboration with Ronnie Fieg. Asics Gel Lyte III x Alife Rivington Club

There isn’t much background story behind this pair but this collaboration resulted into two colorways for the Gel Lyte III silhouette, the curry and grey colorway. Each colorway is only limited to 216 pairs worldwide which makes it difficult for runner collectors to find. Expect resell prices from $400 – $550.

Asics Gel Lyte III x SoleFly ‘Night Haven’

SoleFly collaborates with Asics on the Gel Lyte III silhouette to pay homage to Miami nights as SoleFly is located in Miami. There are only 333 pairs produced worldwide and with premium materials, these definitely make it into the grail list for the collectors. Prepare around $600 – $700 if you are planning to cop a pair.

Asics Gel Lyte III 25th Anniversary ‘Made In Japan’

The Made In Japan (MIJ) is made using natural ‘Nume’ vegetable tanned leather on the uppers, calf-skin lining and waxed laces to complete the entire premium look. To celebrate the Gel Lyte III’s 25th Anniversary, Asics released only 255 pairs worldwide with a retail price of $500 which may seem high but once seen in person, justifies the price. The resell price currently ranges from $900 to $1,300.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Patta

A collaboration between Patta and Asics. This pair is definitely difficult to locate or even to find a pair in pristine condition. There is no news regarding its production quantity but if you ever see a pair for sale, your best bet is to buy first and to think later. This pair usually makes it in sneaker collector’s top 3 runner grails. Expect a resell price of $1,500 – $2,000.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Cove’

A collaboration between Asics with Ronnie Fieg when he was previously working at David Z. There are only 252 pairs produced worldwide which makes this pair a grail piece with its vibrant color. You should expect resell prices from $600 to $800.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Mint Leaf’

This pair was the last pair of Ronnie Fieg’s collaboration with Asics to be released in/with David Z. It is highly sought after for its colorway which is versatile with any outfit. Resellers are selling them for $600 to $750.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Slam Jam ‘5th Dimension’

Definitely one of the Top 5 all-time grails for Asics brand. There are only 96 pairs worldwide that come along with an Asics canvas bag with the similar design to the shoes and a piece of vinyl recording of the soundtrack of Slam Jam’s 5th Dimension video. Resell price is ranging from $1,200 – $1,500.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Salmon Toe 1.0’

Kith’s Ronnie Fieg released this grail during the grand opening of Kith with only 72 pairs available in-stores with special packaging, courtesy of Good Wood and MASCustoms. The remaining pairs were released online. Rumored that only 500 pairs were produced worldwide. The current resell price is ranging from $850 – $1,800.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Leatherback’

Another pair released by Asics in collaboration with Ronnie Fieg for Kith NYC’s grand opening. Only 40 pairs will be sold with limited edition lasered wooden boxes which are individually numbered while others were made available for purchase online. Resell price ranges from $800 – $1,100.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Super Green’

There were two different productions of the Super Green. One was earlier in 2013 and another was in 2016. The 2013 production pairs were given to the kids in Haiti as a charity program while the 2016 release was to commemorate Kith’s 5th Anniversary however, do take note that only the 2016 batch was released to public with a limited production of 700 pairs worldwide, each pair hand-made in Japan. Resell price ranges from $600 – $800.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Total Eclipse’

When Asics and Ronnie Fieg collaborates, we can always expect something good. For this collaboration, the colorway sports a half and half nubuck/leather equation, mixing both navy and black with the goal of recreating the visual sensation of an eclipse. With a colorway like this, it definitely deserves to be one of the grails from the Asics brand.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Zillion

Zillion is a Japanese shoelace brand if you were wondering and they collaborated with Asics in 2011. This grail uses a kimono-like fabric for their uppers which represents their Japanese roots that separates them from every other collaboration. Resell price ranges from $1,000 to $1,500. This pair is one of the tougher ones to find in the market and with its unique details, collectors are definitely not willing to let them go from their collection.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg ‘Flamingo’

Ronnie Fieg teased his fans with this pair for almost four years, finally releasing to the public at both Kith locations and online as well. Rumoured with a limited production of 500 pairs. The colorway of this pair is difficult to refrain from and has made it into the runners collectors grail list. Resell price is going for around $450 – $600.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Colette x LaMJC ‘Sold Out’

This collaboration is Asics first French collaboration and who else better to collaborate with other than Colette and LaMJC. The shoe is inspired by colors from late 80’s and early 90’s which makes the colorway acceptable for wear. There are only 100 pairs available worldwide. Resell price is ranging from $1,400 – $2,000.

That’s the end for now. Hope this list expands your taste in terms of variety. Runners almost always focus on concept and materials which makes collecting more fun than collecting a hype sneaker with no background story. Time to switch up!

2 More Nike ‘Be True’ Shoes Are Dropping

It seems like we may be getting the whole ‘Be True’ pack after all. Nike just announced the drop on the Air Max 270 and Epic React, and we think these are the more good looking duo than the other two.

The Epic React in particular stands out, because its the only shoe that gets a full stealthy makeover with just a tinge of highlights that define the pack. The insole gets done up in pink, with ‘Be True’ printed on it as well as on the heel loop. The triangle stands out on the heel cup, taking much more space than the usual strip that’s in place, and rounded off with multi-coloured traction pads on the front and back portion of the shoe. The upper and React midsole gets blacked out.

The 270 however, gets a brighter colour palette. The shoe’s most prominent feature directs you to look at the air bag, which is done up in a multi-colour format. Light purple dawn makes up the upper, while the heel loop and mini-swoosh is coloured in pink. Overall a very subtle, yet differentiating change compared to the standard line of 270s.

the other hald of the ‘Be True’ pack drops on the same day and time as the Zoom Fly SP and Vapormax Plus; on the 1st of June at 9AM local time. Prices are estimated to be the same at retail, with the Air Max 270 and Epic React going for approximately RM 556.Both are available at Nike’s online store. A Dark Fairy Tale In Malaysia: The Coach X Disney Is Here

Disney and Coach come together for a third time to release a new capsule collection, commemorating more Disney characters, after previously collaborating to celebrate Coach’s 75th anniversary .

Going with a darker side of Disney they finally launched “A Dark Fairy Tale” collaboration this May 2018. The limited edition collection centres around a fairy tale gone wrong scenario with dark shadows from the Disney classics emerging out of their stories, now taking their revenge on the real world. Heavy inspirations are drawn from”Sleeping Beauty” and “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs,” most prominently in the editorial and in the video.

The line showcases hoodies and outerwear with classic Disney patches, crossbody clutches featuring the famous dwarfs: Sleepy, Clumsy, and Dopey. Sneakers with poison apple patches, and academy backpacks with the signature Coach prints with spooky eye detailing all around are also present.

Creative director Stuart Vevers has this to say about the collection, “I have always loved Disney – both the movies and the fantasy worlds created that have captured my imagination for many decades.” He continues, “It was fun to explore the darker side of these stories and mix Disney’s nostalgic charm with Coach’s creativity to bring my memories from these fairy tales to life within our world of accessories and ready-to-wear. The Disney spirit truly reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.”

The Coach X Disney collab is now available at all leading Coach outlets.

When Is Balenciaga Going To Stop Trolling Us?

Written by Isaac Yeap

The fashion runways are no stranger when it comes to quirky & to some, questionable styles & items displayed. After all, fashion is to many considered as an art & beauty is in the eyes of beholder.

We usually don’t cover news that are not released here in Malaysia, but Balenciaga in recent times have been getting quite a lot of attention with their questionable choice of clothing design or items displayed on their runway shows it’s quite impossible not to strain our necks and see what’s happening on the other side; two of them notably are the $2000 mock-up IKEA Bag & the platform dad slip-ons Crocs.

Just when we thought the trolling has stopped, we are presented with the Balenciaga T-shirt-shirt.

The latest addition to Balenciaga’s ‘unique’ design proposition, the Balenciaga T-Shirt-Shirt is priced at $1290. Yep, you got that right. That amounts to about..

Yes we know, it’s a huge amount of money. That might seem like a lot but remember you’re getting a T-shirt and a shirt; it’s basically buy one get one free. As the name suggests, the piece, which is part of the luxury’s fashion house’s Fall 18′ collection, is a T-shirt with a shirt draped on top of it.

The listing attracted huge attention on social media, especially after Balenciaga posted a photo of a model in the T-shirt shirt.

Unfortunately, it seems like the public is not taking this new “style” well & a storm of memes & tweets mocking the luxury brand has taken over the internet. Check the chatter surrounding the piece…

Not really feeling the price tag but feeling the style? No worries. We’ve got pocket friendly options!

What do you guys think? Fashion or nah? But we here at MASSES MY are saying, try harder next time Balenciaga.
