The boys from Patriots are back with the released of their newest music video titled “Seindah Kata” (Beautiful Words) featuring Kareema Ramli a singer/keyboardist from a post-hardcore band called Maddthelin. Unlike their previous heavy track from the bands “The Stand Off” EP the band manage to work their way outside their comfort zone in making a heartbreak song. Apparently, this heartbreak songs really do has its own touch to it especially with the melody of the vocals and also the instrument too. It doesn’t stop there because even the scene in video follow the mood of the songs which make even more interesting too watch while reading through the lyrics.

“She’s easy to work with and she did 90% of the melodies and lyrics for the song which turn out great. I think we really made the right choice in working with her. We can’t wait to work her again in the near future too”. Said Amir Shazrin the Vocalist from Patriots.

PUMA Takes Inspiration From Japanese Forms With The Tsugi Shinsei

The word “Tsugi” means NEXT in Japanese, and the word “Shinsei” means reborn in Japanese. Taking both words, PUMA hints that the Tsugi line will be their next focus and the silhouette to kick things off for them will be the Shinsei. The shoe shows its futuristic nature by featuring a brand new lacing system where the laces is seen on the sides of the padded tongue, instead of directly in the middle like traditional lacing system. Overall the shoe features a very sharp outlook, which is helped by the angular midsole that is accented by tonal waveform pattern. The upper is crafted out of mesh, nylon and leather accents, not forgetting the big sock-like gutters which helps hold the foot in place to finish off the shoe nicely.

The pair is now available at selected PUMA stores nationwide.

“AKU NAK LAGI” BY DANYE

After releasing previous track “In Power” Amirul Daney or better known as Danye has just released his brand new songs in a form of music video title “Aku Nak Lagi” featuring Zet Legacy and Karmal. Danye is a wack version of Kanye West but hey we’re here not going talk about why the name is almost similar to the hip-hop superstar but instead we’re here going to let you all have a taste of his music. Back to the topic, the song’s was actually wrote when we he was 17 and it is about him expressing his feelings on how he wanted to be a successful person in life and also in the industry too. Danye’s has always wanted to get his music out there with hopes to be heard so that it can reach out and make people feel that the listener could relate to his songs. When he got into writing lyrics SonaOne was heavily inspired him. As a hip-hop enthusiast, Danye took SonaOne as a role model for him and decided to work his way out until he notice him.

Having Zet legacy and Karmal to feature in his track really suits the theme well and they were the one few people he grew up listening to. He even got Alabbas from LawaNieGeng to hop in as an additional vocal at the back since he’s the one of the people who have been mentoring and looking up to him throughout the years.

ROGUE SQUADRON: ASHTIN “NIGHT IN KL” MUSIC VIDEO

Malaysia’s hip-hop crew Rogue Squadron are back with another music video lift off from their upcoming album “Rogue State”, which is fully produced by MicWrecka featuring various members of the Rogue Squadron. In contrast to the last release, “Night in KL”, starring Ashtin Sanjiv or Ashtin for short, is a bit more laid back. But don’t be fooled by the lull of the hefty bass line, as Ashtin’s narrations of what goes on during KL’s darkest hours is more streetwise than it is romantic.

The animated music video depicts the city of KL, with its characters and architecture, through a modern lens. The design mirrors the vibrance of this smartphone era but coated by melancholic colours.

After the released of their first single called “The Inner Fatigue Towards An Apathy” the boys from Transitions is back with their newest track title “Contentment”. From the title itself contentment defines as having satisfaction, and feeling at ease, to have peace at all times. As for the lyrics, the perception of the song is to actually find “Contentment” from life, a particular person’s surrounding being neglected, or having being distraught by love, but he/she in the end finds everything is going against their well being. Moreover, they seek to be wanted for who they are, for what they want to be cherished for, stated as the closure of the song, which was written at the last phrase, “Little did we know that people would take us for what we hate and not for what we cherish to be.”

“PARALLEL” BY MASHRABIYA

If you’re a fans of experimental rock characterized by the influence and use of instruments like rhythms and guitars then you might as well going to love this band that will put you on the mood. After the released of their split EP with SWIMS in 2015 local rock band Mashrabiya is back and this time around they’ve just released their newest track title “Parallel”. In finding inspiration for their new song, the band looked back at themselves, imagining as if they were looking from afar. Where everyone’s have already been through many life bittersweet experiences.

“It’s just that, looking back from afar, you’re technically detached, you cross that plane of existence and you can’t carry all that you have built and all the work that you’ve done. In reflection to yourselves, you are just an eyewitness, either in pride, or most likely filled with regret. We’ve stopped there, and wrote the song. Gave up half way and didn’t bother to end it with a sliver of hope”. Said the bands.

MALAYA : BLACK SERIES

Malaya Co.’s in-house brand MALAYA, will be launching its latest product range to commemorate its second year anniversary. The Malaya-02 [47820] and Malaya-03 [E1-0QF] will be part of an All Black Series, featuring a black brushed steel watch set and a bag that can be worn in multiple ways. The Malaya-02 & 03 takes inspiration from the practicality and functionality of military equipment, combined with Malaya Co.’s industrial minimalism concept.

 

The Malaya-03 [E1-0QF] features a 3-way-carry bag; (1) a backpack, (2) a messnger, and (3) a shoulder carry. Each bag is meticulously crafted with Condura 500D and Diamond Ripstop inner lining material as well as YKK Aqua Resistance zippers. The Malaya-03 is designed as a bag that is water resistant and durable, making it suitable to be worn in any conditions. Apart from the unique 3-way-carry strap system that is unique to only MALAYA, the bag also features a hidden front pocket for important belongings, an inner laptop sleeve compartment, and two easy access side pockets. Each Malaya-03 set will retail at RM438 in Malaysia.

The Malaya-02 [47820] is an adaptation of the Malaya-01 [419120], a minimalist watch that comes in either Rose Gold or Silver, paired with a leather NATO strap and a nylon NATO strap. The Malaya-02 takes it further by including not only a black leather NATO strap, but also three nylon NATO straps in black, military green, and grey. The watch frame is made from brushed black steel, ash grey hands and watch markings, and is equipped with a crystal sapphire glass and a Japanese Miyota movement. Each Malaya-02 watch set will retail at RM438 in Malaysia.

Executive Director of Royal Selangor, Yong Yoon Li was on hand at the event to announce the launch of their new collectibles to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the epic franchise, including a Limited Edition Gold Plated Millennium Falcon model, a Lightsaber document holder and a TIE Fighter model.

TheLimited Edition Gold Plated Millennium Falcon, limited to 200 pieces worldwide, is an online exclusive and will only be available for purchase from 4th May 2017 starting 12:00 midnight (Kuala Lumpur/Singapore time) on a first-come-first-served basis.

A VAPE ANTHEM BY LAWALAH FAMILIA

Malaysian rap crew LawaLah Familia has released their brand new single titled “MVH (Malaysia Vape Hub)” – a vaping anthem for the Malaysian vapers to rally around and chant to. Directed by the talented Takeem who have worked on previous videos for them, the video doesn’t really features majority of the members from the group except for KC, Halim Redwood, Benzooloo, Rash The Warchild and their local DJ guest, Dj Augie. The music videos is about promoting local vape community which already spread vastly throughout our country. As for the lyrics, they even put up some brilliant lines like “Sambil main Pokemon Go, untuk cari nikotina”, and it’s just a hodgepodge of rappers with different capabilities. Other than that, if you noticed behind their track they also added some interesting traditional sample that echoes throughout the entire track. At certain parts it sounds tacky, yet there’s no denying the catchy chorus either.
