COMING SOON: Nike Air Sock Racer Ultra Flyknit

The laceless Nike Air Sock Racer was originally release in 1986 as a marathon shoe, it was undoubtedly ahead of its time, paving the way for Nike innovations that would impact sport beyond running.

Its four-way stretch, elastic mesh upper, with two straps for support, foreshadowed the development of Nike Flyknit, while its free-fitting last led to the creation of Nike Free. Given the typically nylon, suede and rubber found on the era’s footwear, the shoe was totally weird…but in a good way.

Today’s Nike Air Sock Racer Ultra Flyknit brings the innovations of the original shoe into the present. The upper uses Nike Flyknit for the first time, offering increased breathability, improved fit and an uncanny capacity to take different coloring. The shoe maintains the original buckle closures with slightly thicker straps — one that keeps the wearer from shifting too far forward, and the other for medial and lateral support — and the collar’s lined pattern draws from the Nike Air Sock Racer Ultra Flyknit.

The Nike Air Sock Racer releases on 4th May, available at SoleWhat, KLCC and Midvalley Nike Stores with the retail price of RM519.

Having spent the last six months focusing on a growing TV career, homegrown rap artist Kid Kenobi a.k.a SonaOne has emerged from the studio with a brand new single titled “Again”.

Produced, composed, written and mixed by the talented artist, “Again” features SonaOne’s signature smooth flow over bass-thumping drums. The song also received an international touch from world renowned mastering engineer Chris Athens who has mastered for the likes of Drake, Rick Ross, PartyNextDoor, DJ Khaled, Charlie Puth and many more.

The adidas Originals Iniki Runner Is Set For A Malaysian Drop

adidas Originals’ new modern-retro sneaker, the Iniki Runner silhouette steps out in two new iterations, one for men and the other for women, presenting the shoe’s nostalgic design in a duo of modern-retro colorways.

Faithful to the classic 70s running silhouettes design, the Iniki Runner features a stretch-mesh construction with suede overlay panels and tumbled leather serrated 3-stripes marks. Bringing the referential silhouette into the 21st century, each shoe is then elevated with a concealed sockfit interior and full BOOST midsole, finished with an essential gum rubber outsole that completes the shoe’s classic-contemporary design. This drop is offered in solid grey/turbo for men, and for women in haze coral/blue color options.

The Iniki Pack will be released this April 20th 2017 at the adidas Originals stores in KLCC, Pavilion, Sunway Pyramid as well as SOLEWHAT Midvalley and the adidas Malaysia online store here, and will retail at RM599 per pair.

COMING SOON: Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”

Air Max Day may have passed us by, but Nike doesn’t seem to be stopping on the retro Air Max releases anytime soon. Initially re-retroed back in December 2016 for an Italy exclusive release, the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” will be making a comeback to Malaysian soil since the last round of retros were seen in 2013. For the nostalgic AM Heads, the Silver Bullet garnered a love-hate relationship due to its very futuristic looks, taking design cues from the Japanese Bullet Train. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the sneaker, Nike is bringing back the “Silver Bullet” for a worldwide release.

The pair will be dropping on the 13th of April 2017, at JD Sports Pavilion and Mid Valley. Each pair will be retailing at RM669.

Johor-based brand Costura has released their latest collaborative campaign shots for the second time with Ridduan, also known as TTFGA (Tukang Tangkap Foto Gembira Anda) for their latest collection called “Elementary”. The collection consists of 4 products, which feature some of their newest cutting edge design for your everyday wear. Experimenting with fabrics and details has always been the brands forte. Every single part of a product has it’s own signature when it was made. The main objective for this collection is about bringing out the basic, the fundamental of a design into something that is trendy, wearable and all the needs to be emphasized with those basic elements.

Recap: Three Stripes Maniacs Exhibition

We paid a visit to the “Three Stripes Maniacs” Exhibition a couple of weekends back. The exhibition was organised by Adidas Trefoil Malaysia and was held at University Malaya. The TSM Exhibition still remains as one of the biggest display of adidas Originals collection in Malaysia! And to turn the heat up this year, they even brought down famous adidas Originals collector from Germany, Quote Von Kokscht and part of his collection to display!

THIRD CULTURE X MALAYA CO WATCH: [47820] “AL ASR” EDITION

Third Culture have collaborated with “everyday essentials” design firm Malaya Co on a limited edition of their newly debuted [47820] watch, dubbed the “Al Asr” (translated from Arabic as “The Time”) edition. Guided by the belief that one should worry less about the time and simply live in the present, Third Culture have taken a minimal approach on an already reduced aesthetic by eliminating as much as possible on the watch face and leaving intact the essence of both brands. Featuring a Miyota Japanese Quartz movement encased in stainless steel casing and sapphire glass, this all black ensemble exudes elegance and simplicity. Only 100 serialized pieces were made, and each purchase includes a black leather strap, a black nylon strap and a microfiber cloth featuring a classic Third Culture artwork by Wiriyak Suvanmani.
