Monar Records proudly present aenima Showcase: Phase 1. A musical experience showcasing local acts like Muck, Dirgahayu, Pastel Lite, The Venopian Solitude, Ramayan and Deepset. The showcase is on the 13th of June and will take place at PJ Live Arts, Jaya One. Pre-sale ticket is RM35 or you can also purchase the ticket during the event day for RM45. The aim for this event is to bring the alternative music scene to a whole new level with all due respect to the passionate, and also the supportive.

SERIOUS PLAY IMPROV LAB (SPIL) is a monthly performance series which focuses on improvisation and was founded in May 2014 by KLEX (Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film & Video Festival). It is an art laboratory series for musicians, performers and artists to experiment with each other through improvisation and performance while featuring other musicians and performers in every lab. SPIL connects performers from different backgrounds and disciplines to collaborate through improvisation. SPIL promotes collaborations between regional and international  musicians and performers and to encourage learning, understanding, friendship and exchange locally and globally. There will be two SPIL labs back to back in June, both at Findars, KL. (SPIL013) and (SPIL014) will feature rare guests, acclaimed Japanese musician-composer Otomo Yoshihide and Japanese avant-garde and improvised musician and composer, Sachiko M. Fynn Jamal – “Terbang Tunduk” (Official Music Video)

Fynn Jamal is a multi-talented, Klang Valley based writer/composer/poet who has recently released her music video for the song, “Terbang Tunduk”. Fynn Jamal who previously made an impact to the industry with the song “Arjuna Beta” said that “Terbang Tunduk” is dedicated to Captain Dato’ Halim Othman, world’s number one acrobatic flyer in general, a national hero specifically.

Definitely a plus point! The mastermind behind this whole thing are four young men who was inspired by the macaron ice cream concept originating from Korea. Hin Bus Depot Art Centre – Open Gate

OPEN GATE, an ever-changing exhibitionʼ is the first exhibition presented in tandem with ʻAsian Sounds Researchʼ, a component of ʻENSEMBLES ASIA’ project by the Japan Foundation Asia Center. The exhibition will be held from the 6th till 21st June 2015 at Hin Bus Depot Art Centre.

During the entire duration of the exhibition, two Japanese artists, Tadashi Yonago and Yoshihito Mizuuchi together with two Penang artists Annabelle Ng and Hoo Fan Chon will launch the exhibition with their creations. The key is for them to share the space and create artworks that would interact and inspire each other to instigate gradual transformation of the works.

Everyone is welcomed to join them anytime to witness the interactions and changes that will happen everyday.

“R E M I X” by Lupe Parada

This Saturday on the 13th of June, Lupe Parada, an Argentinian artist based in Kuala Lumpur currently will be exhibiting the results of her thoughts and experiments since 2013 alongside newer ones at Feeka on Jalan Mesui. Lupe is a figurative abstract painter who fully utilizes diverse materials, methods and techniques hence the title “R E M I X”. Her Latin-American soul can be reflected on her use of colours, faces and freestyle shapes. If you’re planning on showing up, do not hesitate to have a chat over coffee with Lupe who will be there at the event.
