A group exhibition exploring the reminiscence and reconnection through the contemporary images of imaginary tales and folklore organized by Minut Init Art Social will be happening on June 19 till June 26, starting at 8PM. Among the artistes that will showcase their art during the exhibition are Elena Kravchenko, Nadia J Mahfix, Mils Gan, Aleff Ahmad, Jael Estrella Visual Artist, and Borhanzali. RECAP: The Red Bull BC One Malaysia Cypher 2015

In what may B-boys said was the fiercest competition that BC One Malaysia has ever seen on June 6th 2015. Immortalz crewmates Khenobu (the two-time defending champion of BC One 2013 and 2014) and Lego Sam involved in what could only be labelled as dance floor warfare. The battle was intense and thrilling, but eventually Lego Sam emerged triumphant. 20-year-old Lego Sam, also known as Sam Jee Lek who made his debut to Red Bull BC One this year broke the Malaysian breaking standards. Every move he pulled on the stage was huge and filled with confidence, which got the crowd all pumped up when both the b-boys threw their power moves on the stage. B-Boy Lego Sam will be representing Malaysia in Seoul, South Korea at the Red Bull BC One Asia Pacific Final 2015.

RBMA & Under9 presents: DAEDELUS

Alfred Weisberg-Roberts AKA Daedelus returns to our city for a second instalment of Red Bull Music Academy Club Night for 2015.

For those of you who are unaware of this talented American electronic musician/producer, he is the one who has been re-inventing the possibilities of electronic and instrumental hip-hop with albums on Mush, Plug Research, Laboratory Instinct or Ninja Tune. Daedelus has also mentored and endorsed fellow visioneers such as Busdriver and Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder clique. To top it off, he has established a unique way of handling the decks and laptop performance dilemma by cutting up his tunes into countless pieces to work with, this allows him to fully improvise interactive sets onstage.

So if you’re an existing fan or just sparked an interest with his music from reading this, you can catch him this Friday night at Under9 on Jalan Ampang alongside other local artists: Detour Asia/Bass Sekolah member CEE, producer VMPRMYTH & TKI (The Tomoe). Visuals for the event will be provided by our homegrown visual artist NeroOne.

Doors will be open at 10pm with a cover change of RM20 (comes with a first free drink). Please take note that there is a limited guest list for this event because they apply a first-come first-served basis due to the small capacity of the venue.

Also their second masterpiece of this year, “Payback” is a collection focused mainly on strengthening the the identity of the brand by using fine quality fabric. A fresh approach by The Garment Clothing, a new official script logo is introduced to replace the old signature logo. Mitsui Outlet Park “Nike Outlet”

Nike outlet which has been longing for is finally available at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang. This could cause a great enthusiasm to all sneaker heads who are looking for sneakers with a preferable price. So, we had done an inspection to the store, hoping that interest realm can be spread out to who cannot make it.

We were there at 1pm and it wasn’t really crowded, long queue can be avoided if you visit at weekdays. Some great sneakers like Nike air max1,Blazer Mid and Cortez are labeled with a cheaper price tag and they are really worth to buy. Please enjoy the photos above!

HYPE Clothing S/S 2015: Catch 22

HYPE Clothing Co.’s new arrival of the spring and summer collection “Catch 22” is now available at their respective HYPE stores. Catch 22 collection inspired by the story of two US Navy and a Sailor escorting duty to the naval prison. The collection bears the pride and tradition of the US military uniform design with the green, black and olive colour scheme and also bearing the badges of the eagle symbol. merayau : League of Captains Cafe

It’s been a while since the last update of merayau and this time around, we had the privilege to have a look at a new boutique cafe in town, League of Captains by the team of Pestle and Mortar Clothing. League of Captains is situated at the row of Asian Heritage (The Row) which is currently going through a major renovation. The new building has the vintage-industrial style and League of Captains occupied the ground floor (bar) and the main seating area and retail is on the first floor. Not only F&B, premium brands such as Raised By Wolves, Dr. Denim, Bellroy, Hypergrand, ICNY, Pestle & Mortar, and Publish are also available at the cafe.
