Eggbash Clothing : “Children of Gold” Collection

1_SMALL

Founded back in 2011, Eggbash Clothing is an independent clothing brand hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The brand was founded by Aidi Idham who is a digital illustrator and also a streetwear enthusiast. Eggbash got their name from Aidi’s experience in high school where he and his friends would go out at night and bash eggs at other people’s cars and houses. The name reflects a very fun, crazy and naughty vibe which is shown in their designs.

In their latest collection called the “Children Of Gold”, it is a collection about the value of the younger generation. The young people in our country may still be raw, inexperience and deemed as ‘less important’, but people tend to forget that the younger generation holds the key to the future of our country. Inspired by the glorious Egyptian empire and mythology, the collection features icons of the Egyptian era. The lookbook features a more serious, sharper and edgier look from the brand and it also highlights the rebellious attitude of the young in their current fashion trends.

The collection is already available and you can get in touch with them through Eggbash’s Facebook page to get a hold of the collection.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Atlanta Hawks”

aj1hawks1

The Air Jordan 1 has been on a constant stream of Retros and OG bring-backs for some time now, which is to highlight the early NBA days of Michael Jordan, but this time round, instead of bringing back another pair that was worn by MJ himself back in the days, this latest release pays tribute to the Atlanta Hawks and the star of the team, Dominique Wilkins.

Why pay tribute to someone other than MJ you may ask? Well, Dominique was the main rival to MJ. He denied MJ a few scoring titles and slam dunk titles when MJ was a rookie in the mid to late 80’s. Dominique’s dunks were so entertaining that it earned him the nickname of “The Human Highlight Reel”, which is why the black portion of this shoe features a filmstrip texture in honor of him. Inspired by the Atlanta Hawks team’s colors, the design trades between red, yellow, black and white.

The shoe is a Hoops Station exclusive which can be found at their Summit and Lot 10 branch.

Li-Ning : Way of Wade Encore “Gold Rush” Detailed Look

lininggoldrush1

So most of you would know by now that Li-Ning Malaysia will be launching the WoW Encore “Gold Rush” at the Kicks On event next weekend, and most of you would know that there will only be 6 pairs being released. But what we think most of you guys don’t know that this pair of shoe fetches an insane average price on eBay at USD850. Yes, you saw that right, USD = United States Dollars. Who could blame them, the whole country had only ONE release location, which is in Miami’s very own SoleFly. But enough talking about how much this pair is worth on eBay, but instead lets talk about the shoe.

The packaging is indeed very elaborate, which comes with a black ‘WADE’ towel in the box. Gold covers most of the upper’s paneling, tongue and trim while being complemented by black shimmery accents at the base and also complemented with a black mesh. A printed inner lining helps give it a classy touch to the pair. A carbon fiber support is added in the middle of the sole which adds responsiveness to it that is paired with an icy outsole.

All in all, the pair is well made, well packaged, and with a price tag of RM599, compared to the average eBay price of USD850, it is going to be pretty hard to say no to this pair. So who’s gonna be rushing for gold next weekend?

aj5firered1

The Jordan Brand is back with more Retros that will definitely leave you wanting to burn a hole in your wallet. And also after much speculation, the 2013 version of the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” will be having Mike’s famous number ’23’ embroidered on the heel after all. Phew. So all die hard Jordan fans, you guys can take chill pill.

Clean white upper which is set against a black tongue with a red Jumpman logo. The number ’23’ is embroidered in a Red/Black combination. The design and features of this year’s version sticks pretty close to the OG colorway, with just some very very minor detail changes like a slightly bluer icy section on the bottom of the shoe. A black Jumpman logo on the back of the heel and on the toe section on the bottom shoe finishes off the shoe nicely.

The pairs are already available at selected Nike stores & retailers.

The Kliker x Junk Culture : “Comme Des Abah Kau” Tee

ARVE Error: id and provider shortcodes attributes are mandatory for old shortcodes. It is recommended to switch to new shortcodes that need only url

A parody of a parody. The Kliker and Junk Culture got together to produce the “Comme Des Abah Kau” tee, which is a parody of the LA Based brand SSUR, that parodied the famous Japanese brand Comme Des Garcons. The word “Comme Des” means AS/LIKE in french. So in this instance, the phrasing on the t-shirt means “Like Your Father” or in Bahasa Malaysia – “Macam Abah Kau”.

T-shirt is already out and able to be purchased from either both brands or at selected retailers.
