At the end of the road lies a paradise undiscovered and not known by many. A land of sand dune surrounded by a lagoon, an island and the ocean is surreal but in God’s creation we trust. Never dismay the beauty of earth as we have not seen the most beautiful sight in our lifetime yet.

On a recent road trip across the east coast of Malaysia with TRCRC, we had to find secure ground for the night. As we drove toward the sunset, we arrived in Pantai Penarik in Terengganu, Malaysia. The streets were lined up with towering coconut trees and the sea breeze was refreshing. It took us 4 hours to arrive at the destination from the city of Kuala Terengganu. We continued onward, hoping to pick out a perfect spot for the night, and we kept driving deeper and deeper into the beach. The further we got into the unknown, we could tell that the place hasn’t been visited much because of the overgrown trees and natural formation of wild grass all around.

As we arrived toward an inclining pathway, we drove up and beyond our imagination there was a beach, island and lagoon. It was insane how beautiful and magnificent the view was that evening. I will never forget the feeling of discovering a land that provides such intense and high emotion in life. We got out from the car, and started running frantically to the beach because we were outraged and crazy. The landscape does the work by itself and all we do is to witness it and share it to the world.

We immediately set up our camping site before the sky turns dark and got ready the fireplace to stay warm at night. The breeze was strong yet gentle and it was an indescribable feeling, sitting under the cluster of stars lit so brightly that no other source of light was needed. Being on the road really changes your perspective of life. It broadens your view on culture, art and you as an individual- your thoughts, personality and values. One cannot plan for the unexpected. As the sunrise approaches, we packed up and got ready to explore our next destination.

The Borak-Borak Sessions: Adly Syairi

Perhaps it is no exaggeration to claim that Adly’s first love is toys. His passion for hoarding the distinctive plastic building blocks we all know and love, however, only began 5 years ago when he happened across a Lego Minifigures Series collection at a Toys “R” Us branch.

Now in possession of a veritable legion of Legos, he now undertakes his labour of love under the likes of Highsnobiety, Hypebeast and Billboard among many others. His #LegolisedSeries, in which he depicts his favourite music acts through Lego, has garnered recognition both locally and overseas.

We recently sat down with Adly to talk about his love for Lego and his truly astonishing mini-figure collection. His advice to the younger generation is “Do what you love and the rest will follow”. Check out the video below!

A Closer Look At The adidas NMD Runner SS16

Most of you Three Stripes fans would know by now that this coming Thursday will see the launch of a number of NMD colourways. We had the opportunity to have a close-up look at some of the pairs that will be released.

Differing from the Primeknit versions, two of the pairs, namely the “Lush Red” and “Clear Blue” feature a two tone circular knitted upper that affords a sophisticated lifestyle look and feel reminiscent of the Primeknit pairs. Added features comprise the welded tape details which includes the Three Stripes as well, and 3M Reflective laces. Oh, and let’s not forget the heel pull tab which comes in bright matching colours as the Lego-Like block at the sole of the heel. Two other pairs, namely the “Core Black” and “Onix Grey” feature a full mesh upper, white heel tab and a bright coloured Lego-Like block on the front of the midsole.

Rumour has it that adidas will be dropping more colourways this coming Thursday, but for now these are the only pairs that we managed to get our hands on for a close up.

These four pairs drop this Thursday (17/3/16) at various locations around KL and will be priced at RM490 per pair.

Sayla – Circles (feat. Santosh Logandran)

If you’re wondering who Sayla is, he is a an ambitious Malaysian hip hop artist who came up with his own 20-track project back in 2015. He is a talented rapper-songwriter who released his own EP, Conversations With Self & Other Stories (CWSAOS). Unlike other EPs, CWSAOS is a creative art project that features a well-curated storytelling website.

Sayla has recently released a new track on his Soundcloud called 17 Circles featuring Santosh Logandran among other various artists. Having composed an exquisite piece of music, some creative visuals complement it to make an inspirational video that is both audibly and visually captivating.

NMD – SS16

NMD_CS1 – City Sock

adidas debuts a brand new mid-cut iteration of the NMD model – the NMD City Sock. While using a sock-fit Primeknit textile upper, the City Sock is more or less just a stripped down version of the NMD with a bit of added height. Comes in a clean striped motif atop a full-length BOOST midsole with referential EVA inserts, the white and black piping throughout the mid-top silhouette creates a jarring display of a Primeknit pattern. Priced at RM750.

NMD Runner_R1 – City Pack

After previewed the NMD City Sock, we now preview the NMD Runner City Pack. Making it’s way in new colorways for men and women line, this collection is constructed by using a lightweight mesh textile upper to provide minimum weight. Finished with tonal three-stripes atop the shoe’s distinctive midsole with EVA inserts, the shoe is now priced at a more affordable RM490.

NMD Runner_R1 – Details Pack

This NMD Runner pack replaces the usual Primeknit and mesh upper construction with a combination of premium suede and soft jersey fabric. This pack accentuates the pioneer silhouette’s clean stylistic qualities with additional details like vegetable-tanned leather heel accents. Sat atop EVA midsole and cushioned by a full-length Boost midsole. They come in tonal black and burgundy colorways, they are now priced at RM490.

These pack will be hitting local retailers such as KLCC, Pavilion & Sunway Pyramid, Sole What (One Utama) & Crossover (Mid Valley Megamall) on Thursday(17th March). Good luck on hunting them guys!
