Welcoming the fifth photography to The Marksmen Series, we would like to introduce to you Mohd Firdaus, also known by his friends as Pida – who can be found via his Instagram handle, @pdahv. Born, raised, and living in Terengganu Malaysia, but is now travelling all over to hunt for new places, new cultures, and new people everywhere.

“I love all genres of photography – I don’t have any specific style. I love finding beauty in everything”.

Pida mentioned to us that he will capture everything, and try his best to make it perfect – “There is beauty everywhere, as long as you are willing to look” – rather a charming mindset if you think about it.

His inspiration comes from numerous Instagramers from all over the world, and in his words, “too many to mention”. Just like his inspirations, Pida’s fantastic photos are all taken via iPhone 5 and iPhone 6+ native camera app, and are edited with VSCOcam and Lightroom – very impressive for just a phone camera.

Also spotted among the 17,000 crowds that turned up at SneakerLAH are celebrities like W.a.r.i.s, Nabil, Noh Salleh, Caprice and several other prominent names in the scene.

The main highlights of the event are sneaker auctions, lucky draws, performances by the notorious DJ Cza, DJ Nesh and also homegrown hip-hop acts by Lawalah Familia and The Bat Cave. To wrap things up, winner of the Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black was announced towards the end of the convention.

Bboy Lego Sam @ Red Bull BC One Asian Pacific Final 2015

Dato Lee, Nicol David, Pandelela Rinong and Afiq Ikhwan, those names must be familiar to you. Just recently, a young man named Bboy Lego Sam just made Malaysia Bboy proud. This 20 years old young man won himself the Red Bull BC One Malaysia Cypher 2015 and he represented Malaysia in Seoul, South Korea at the Red Bull BC One Asia Pacific Final 2015.

Our national hero didn’t fail us, he put on a fierce fight against Bboy Blond and he fought it very well. From my humble opinion, Lego Sam has a cleaner execution and that flexible freeze is killing. One thing, basic moves are not bites man! I don’t get why Bboy Blond was calling bite from the beginning to end, maybe he is calling it for the sake of strategy?

Although Lego Sam did not manage to pull it off, but you are still Malaysian’s People Champion. Hoping Lego Sam will achieve a higher stage and shine in the name of Malaysia.
