This goes the same for Suraiya, local artist who hopes to have her name up there with the greats. Under the name MELINGKART, Suraiya has been sharing her artwork via Instagram and is slowly but surely on her way to becoming Instagram famous. MELINGKART, a play on words (melingkar + art) showcases a collection of doodles and illustrations that possess a level of creativity and eccentricity, us amateurs know nothing of. The account may be one month old but the talent is definitely there. Every piece starts off with just a train of thought and slowly molds into something that is truly different. atmos has teamed up with PUMA to release an exclusive teamup on the iconic PUMA Disc Blaze Trinomic OG. The collab combines two revolutionary technologies by PUMA which are the “Disc system” and the “Trinomic” cushioning system. This new rendition on these kicks is inspired by “The Sun & The Moon” which features a unique black and purple upper, while the orange detailing on the tongue represents the sun. This all sits on a dark grey speckled midsole for added detailing. While in the dark, both the bottom sole, and the speckled midsole will glow. A very cool feature that represents the moon.

Azrul “Slow” feat Orang Malaya
Here’s another track that could get you all up and ready for the weekend. On this chill Friday night “Slow” is the right tune to keep on loop. More prominently known as the frontman as Jagfuzzbeats, Slow is an RnB-esque track produced by Azrul Zainal featuring Orang Malaya, who has been hot on the scene these days. Featuring music worthy of some head bumping and feet tapping along with Orang Malaya’s insane impressive vocal range, it’s pretty hard to even try to dislike this song. So give it a shot!
Adam Kasturi drops a new tune
While we’re still buzzing about ‘Satron’, Adam Kasturi has recently released another new track onto his SoundCloud called ‘Apartment Noureen’. The new release strays a bit from the works of ‘Satron’ with a more spine chilling monotonous vocal performance. The dark tone of the lyrics itself speak a deep meaning to the song and the production of the song adds up to listeners who prefer to adopt this acquired taste of music. Call it ‘dark electronic’, if we may. You either hate it or love it. Listen to it for yourself.
Picasso, Matisse and Warhol @ Galeri Petronas
We got the chance to take a look around one of the most iconic paintings by iconic artists at KLCC, Galeri Petronas. Displaying legit artworks that overwhelms many and have left a bold impression in the world and in the culture of art.
The exhibition showcases over 200 works by 76 artists of the world, one of many including Picasso’s, Matisse’s and the famous Campbell’s Soup Can creator Andy Warhol’s artworks is currently on display at the MAESTRO Exhibition of Modern and Contemporary Art Masters at Galeri Petronas, KLCC. Paintings from the time period of 19th Century, Modern, American Post-War, Impressionism and Symbolism.
Not only that, 6 local ceramicists exhibits their creation of contemporary ceramic works creating varied and lasting pieces.
