The Gianno Is Tyler, The Creator’s Most Ambitious Converse Collaboration Yet

Cover Picture by Sneaker Freaker

While previously just working and reworking on pre-existing One Star and Chuck 70 models, Tyler, The Creator finally broke out the pen and paper to design something that’s completely out of converse’s playbook; a hiking boot with a slightly elevated platform that puts the chunk in chunky.

Inspiration for the Gianno largely comes from Converse’s vast library of basketball archives, coming in a few different colourways that visually spells outdoors. Gone are the signature flower star, instead replaced by layers upon layers of materials that accentuate the hiking look. Street or mountainous? That’s totally up to you to decide.

The Converse Gianno drops today at Converse Pavilion and Crossover Sunway Pyramid with prices ranging from RM 499 to 539.

Algae Is The New Ingredient In Kanye’s Yeezy Clogs

Sustainability is the hottest keyword in fashion at the moment, and Kanye is taking the movement wholeheartedly. In its latest addition to the family, the Yeezy “Clogs” will follow suit and utilise a main ingredient found in the oceans in abundant numbers: algae.

Indeed, The so-called Yeezy Foam Runner will include foam derived from the organism mixed partially with EVA to provide structural integrity to the shoe, whilst progressing the unit towards being a fully recyclable shoe in its coming iterations. Speaking alongside West, famed sneaker designer Steven Smith had this to say, “Eco-concerns are intersecting with what we do, this is just the beginning of the future that Kanye envisioned for us to start working on.”

“We’re going to be farming and going seed to sole,” exclaims Kanye during his explanation that the shoes will be developed in a farm from start to finish, ensuring that efforts to prevent pollution, creation and disposal will be tightly controlled.

ADIDAS 4D marks a shift in the way we approach the design and creation of our products.
