CROSSOVER x Reebok Instapump Fury 20th Anniversary

The people from Crossover will be the next in line to collaborate with Reebok for the 20th anniversary of the Pump Fury. This is something big for us Malaysian as this is the first ever collaboration between a Malaysian store and an international brand. Definitely a huge milestone for the sneaker scene here in Boleh Land!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA The classic silhouette of the Pump Fury have always been in a class of its own due to it’s that is far ahead of it’s time. For this collaboration, the futuristic pair will be getting a subtle wild looking design which features a glow-in-the-dark tiger camo that is paired with pink accents. It looks like an ordinary pair of black, white and pink Fury in broad daylight, but it comes alive in the dark or under UV lighting. The numbers of 05 and 14 on the tongue symbolises the year of Crossover’s opening and current year.

This shoe is dropping on the 10th of April 2014 this Thursday with the price of RM549. A special wooden box packaging will be given to the first 30 people who cop the shoe that day! Million Apparel – “Black Label 2014 Collection”

First one of the year from Million Apparel called “Black Label 2014 Collection”. As the name suggest, the collection only comes mostly in black color, which is a color we like because it makes us look slimmer.

Devise – Vol.1 2014: The Bike Bandit

First collection out from Devise for the year 2014 which is called “The Bike Bandit”. The title for this collection draws from the brand’s strong influence in the BMX scene here in Malaysia. A monkey  never gets tired of creating innocent mischief, which is why the monkey skull symbol is used here to relate to the young, fun and mischievous spirit of a rider.

The one thing you can always expect from Devise is their consistency in their direction and designs, and that is something which we have grown to love about this brand. KOYA x Crissie – “10578045 : LOSTBOYS”

This collection by KOYA and Crissie is a campaign to urge people to examine ones own thoughts and feelings in order seek out their direction in life and also their destiny. This release was greatly influenced by Director Chuck Palaniuk’s famous movie, “Fight Club”.

In the movie, the number “10578045” is inspired by his personal situation back in high school where his classmate typed it in the calculator and ask him to read it. A form of alpha-numeric morphology that question him back. Do we really know where we are. A place to live or is it just a place to drop by and get lost for a while.Pretty heavy stuff right? Well, it’s not common to see streetwear brands, let alone a local streetwear brand releasing stuff like this with such a heavy meaning behind it. It’s good to have style and substance at the same time.

Keep up with Koya‘s and Crissie’s Facebook page as well as their IG ( @koyaclothing ) & ( @crissiesupply ) !

Recap: Malaysia Distro Fiesta 2014

Last Sunday, we went to Stadium Bukit Jalil for the Malaysia Distro Fiesta 2014. Just like what their title mentioned ” A Fest to Impress”, we were really impressed by the whole set up of the event, with the performances, art displays and vendors that covered almost everything you need. The day was hot, but it had not stop the people from going to the event, the venue was packed, performances was great, and a lot of nice art was being showcased. This is definitely a great platform for the local to showcase what they got. It’s great to see that there is more and more events like this for the local and we hope that in the future, more and more people will appreciate the local products! The Marquee – Soldier

An alternative modern rock band from Kuala Lumpur, The Marquee was founded in 2011. A band of 5, they put out their second single called “Soldier”. The song is about the journey of our daily struggles in life. The circumstances and condition that we face and challenge everyday. It’s about waking up and working things out instead of avoiding and being stagnant, reaching out and triumphing over obstacles in life. The bottom line of this song is that we are all soldiers in life.
