Normally bad things happen without a warning. And in this case, it is true. They came out of nowhere. Only just starting their official Facebook page about 2 weeks ago, they launched their first product on the 31st of July 2013, the “BAD 77” t-shirt, along side some amazing pictures from their lookbook and a video to accompany it. BAD KL just performed a “Shock & Awe” stunt on us and it seems to be working.

The inspiration, outlook, vision and impression of BAD is turning apparel into art. It is a form of expression from it’s creator. Mixing high fashion with streetwear, and fusing current trends of the hip-hop world together with it, this is what represents BAD. The creator behind the brand is Zhafry Rahmat, together with Luqman Hannan who does graphics and handles the sales and production. They have a creative arm which coordinated the concepts of BAD KL with Zhafry, it comprises of Bibo Aswan who heads the creative direction, Aaron Chan with videography and Sim Wie Boon with content.

Have a look at the video and also some images from the lookbook and you can check out the rest of the lookbook at their Facebook page.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow”

The most Retro’ed Air Jordan model in the entire legacy, is back with more Retro-ing. The original “Shadow” release from 1985 was one of several off-the-court Lifestyle-derived colorways of the Air Jordan 1, which proved to be a bigger draw than the classic team-based Bulls compositions back then. We guess for the sneakerheads of this generation, anything “OG” written on a Jordan shoe box would do it for them, regardless if it’s on-the-court or off-the-court.

Taking a very different turn in terms of colors after last weeks AJ4 “Toro Bravo” mania, this pair goes subtle with a soft grey and black look in contrast to the fiery red of the AJ4. Smooth black leather covers the majority of the base, accented by grey panels on the heel, toe box and branding. The AJ “Wings” logo is seen on the heel, while the ever important “Nike Air” tagging sits on the tongue. Well, for what it’s worth, we have no news of anymore  Jordans sporting the “Nike Air” logo coming our way anytime soon, so this just might be the last one of the Retro-ed “OG”s for this year.

The pair will be dropping this coming Saturday( 3rd August 2013) exclusively at Hoops Station, Lot 10.

Nike Kobe 8 NSW Lifestyle “Snakeskin” & “Liberty”

The Nike Kobe 8 NSW Lifestyle has firing on all cylinders and making big waves in the sneaker scene over in the States and in Europe. With already 2 releases earlier this year, namely the “Gorge Green” and the “Mexican Blanket”, the Kobe lifestyle department is back with more.

The first pair takes full advantage of the “Year of the Snake” theme, which is really suitable for the Kobe 8 cause of the whole “Black Mamba” thingy for the on-court versions. The low silhouette and light frame makes it a real suitable shoe to wear on the daily, the “Snakeskin” is composed of a multicolored up. Styled like the skin of a corn snake or coral snake, the snakeskin upper is a black, red, and yellow. The tongue is a smooth black suede, as is the heel cap. This sits atop a sail like upper.

The second pair is a Liberty of London designed Nike Kobe 8 NSW Lifestyle. Liberty’s tight compact patterns give kicks a great upgrade and boost in the classic fashion department. The upper is composed of a detailed overlapping royal blue paisley print. Royal blue also dons the tongue and shoe laces while the sole is a sail off white.

Check out the detailed shots of both the shoes which are already available at selected retailers.
