Lawan by Karmal

“Lawan” is the first single of 2017 from our homegrown hiphop artist Karmal. This song is produced and written by Karmal himslef as his “comeback track” after one year break from music. It is inspired by the Iban culture and phrase “Agi idup Agi Ngelaban”, which means, “as long as I’m alive, I will keep on fighting” to signify his mindset and determination in his music career. The struggles that he was going through at that time also was one of the inspiration for this song. Karmal hopes that this track will keep inspire others and also more upcoming artists to believe in themselves and never give up with their dreams, no matter what people say or do. Keep fighting for what you believe in is the main message behind this inspirational song.

TEALIVE is Ignoring Mutha Puaka

We’ve got an update regarding the MUTHA PUAKA vs Loob Holdings situation after reaching out to the guys at MP. It seems that Loob Holdings is ignoring MP and have yet to give a response in regards to the Cease & Desist letter sent out by Mutha Puaka last week. Here’s the latest statement from MP below:

We are right here.

Does Loob Holdings not acknowledge that we exist? We have reached out through our people and through our lawyers to come to a win-win solution but we are being ignored as if our work and property don’t matter.
As mentioned in our previous statement, Mutha Puaka does not have the kind of resources that Loob Holdings has. With the non-competition injunction filed against Loob Holdings by La Kaffa, we are considering whether to sue and if so, when to sue. We want to try our best to resolve this with Tealive as soon as possible.
Tealive is not just using the Mutha Puaka spirit in facing its business problems but it is using the exact line from Mutha Puaka’s slogan, “NEVER BULLY THE WEAK, NEVER FEAR THE STRONG”‘. This slogan is a mark that we use in our trade and the motto by which we live our lives.
If Loob Holdings think that we will remain silent while they ignore us, then they don’t truly understand the meaning of ‘Never Fear The Strong’.

“A Series of Barns” At Seventh Cove, Johor Bahru.

An idea for adaptive reuse was conceived when the architectural design team ( Singaporean firm L Architects ) was tasked to design the head office and gallery of Casa Property Development Sdn Bhd. The idea was to turn a row of abandoned half-built shop offices into a barn-like structure where it attempts to blend into its surrounding landscape. The eight series of three-story building is located near to the coast of the Johor straits just across Singapore. The architects preserved the gable roofs and metal-framed structures, relying on material textures and patterns to give new life to the old buildings. The modern adaptive reuse project harmoniously combines a mix of hard concrete, metal decking lines, patterned brickwork, glass, and porous green walls.

Take a look at the barn-like structure above and let us know your thoughts.
