TNTCO x Supercrew’s “Syndicate”

Malaysia’s fashion scene has been experiencing a large, healthy concentration of local brands on the back of the significant mushrooming of homegrown entrepreneurs – with an eye for streetwear – in recent years. Competition within the retail space is certainly a positive, but one can argue that collaboration is an even greater boon, for both the consumer and the business itself.

This ain’t rocket science, yet local brands tend to insulate themselves from one another more often than not, creating the current scenario of collaborations between local labels being somewhat of a rarity.

One such rarity is “Syndicate”, a collaboration fashion project between TNTCO and Supercrew. Within context of the actual products released, the collection isn’t groundbreaking, albeit packaged with an attitude and rather diverse in selection.

It’s an offering that features 8 items which are the 3M reflective bomber jacket, tank top jersey, female long dress, oversized jumper, basic tee grey, basic navy tee, double layer oversized tee and… an apron.

Yes, an apron. As far as streetwear collections go, the apron’s inclusion is arguably novel.

The two brands behind the effort see “Syndicate” as a message telling other local brands that working together like this helps in elevating Malaysia’s fashion scene. Hopefully, we’ll see more local brands collaborating together in the near future!

This collection will be available exclusively at TNTCO x Supercrew “Syndicate” Pop Up Store. Do visit the pop up store and experience the launching party tomorrow from 3pm to 11pm at Take a Shot Studio Cafe!
