Assuming one of your life’s goals is to quite literally score goals, Brazilian professional footballer Neymar Jr has a tempting proposition that bonafide lovers of “The Beautiful Game” will pay attention to. Finally making his dream of carrying his own signature tournament a reality, Neymar is inviting players from over 35 countries across 6 continents to team up for the Neymar Jr’s Five tournament.

I have always dreamed of carrying my own signature tournament and inviting the best teams over to my hometown. This is finally becoming a reality,” says the striker.

The five-a-side tournament, with the main objective being to outplay the opposition by scoring as many goals in the fastest time possible, stays true to Neymar’s roots and style of play. It is set up in group stages and play offs, allowing every team a chance to play multiple games.

There’s a catch, though. Every goal the opposing team scores against you will force you to send one play off the pitch, meaning a domino effect could transpire where the first goal you concede paves the way for your opponents to score with intensifying ease. Each game will last a total of 10 minutes or until one team has lost all 5 players. When the whistle blows, the team with the most players wins the round.

The winning team from this national qualifier will represent Malaysia at the finals this July on Neymar Jr’s home ground, Praia Grande. Held at Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the establishment is a non-profit education and sports complex founded by Neymar Jr and his family.

If your team manages to win it all at Neymar Jr’s Five world finals, all of you will also be Neymar’s guests for a match at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain! Note that Malaysia is one of the very few Southeast Asian countries that have the privilege to compete in this tournament, so do not waste the opportunity.

Gather up a team of 5 to 7 players anywhere from 16 to 25 years old if you are keen on taking part in this tournament! Submit your application now over at this site and prepare for the national qualifiers this coming 14th May at University Malaya. Application period concludes on Sunday, 8th May.

In the meantime, you can check out the promotional video for the tournament right here!

Nike Roshe LD-1000 Premium

Looking very much like the spawn of a Roshe Run and Cortez marriage, the Nike Roshe LD-1000 Premium Men’s Shoe features a breathable upper and plush cushioning for everyday comfort. The show is an update of the classic 70s model featuring a rubber outsole with Waffle-inspired traction. Inspired by the practice of meditation and the concept of Zen, it has no exaggerations but instead just basic shoe necessities brought to life in premium detail.

Some people say this is essentially the cheap version of the Fragment shoe, but considering this has a better choice of material without the Fragment branding, it’s very much worth the purchase. Please find this pair at selected Nike retailers such as Hundred%, Sole What and others, priced at RM399.

A look at the Nike Women’s Air Presto Triple White

Happy Tuesday sneakerheads! We bet your hearts were already thumping fast when you saw the title. Yes, we finally get an official look at the Nike Air Presto Triple White and you can’t deny that it looks absolutely flawless! The shoe carries the spirit of the original released early in the previous decade, with a design and comfort that’s essentially a t-shirt for your feet thanks to its breathable mesh base. The sleekness of the aesthetic is lent by its pale, translucent white support overlay and Pure Platinum branding located on the heel.

Known for sporting neoprene material along its sock-like upper, the iconic Nike swoosh has decided to follow the mesh route in all white. Showcasing black detailing along the midsole and part of the outsole, you’ll also find reflective 3M hits on the sneaker’s pull tab. The rest of the model is covered in a crisp white from its laces to its lace caging and upper.

If (almost) pure white footwear is something you fancy, ladies, what are you waiting for? Cop your own Nike Air Presto Triple White at the Hundred% outlet, SoleWhat and Jd Sports now for RM479.

Bunyi Sembunyi Enters the Scene with 1st EP!

The difficulties in garnering success within the local music scene has not deterred this new entry into the rock music community from sticking to their guns and deviating from mainstream sound. An instrumental symphonic rock act from metropolitan KL, Bunyi Sembunyi intends to claim a slice of the local airwaves with their first EP, “Ribut Ribut Itu Menjadi Reda Dan Akhirnya”.

The album comprises a four song offering that possess a very raw and atmospheric quality. From the eponymous first track to the whopping 7 minutes long “Bayangan Dari Kebenaran Abadi“, the theme seems centred around a melancholic, almost ominous vibe that would fit perfectly in a dark and gritty blockbuster.

It’s by no means a break from the mould, but nonetheless Bunyi Sembunyi’s EP is a hauntingly captivating listen throughout. Do keep your eyes locked on to this band in the coming months!

In the meantime, you can listen to a taste of their EP right here, which showcases two of their tracks “Dua Utusan” and “Lela Rentaka”.
