Here’s the detailed look of Nike SB Dunk High Premium “31st State”. Drawing its inspiration from the California state flag, the shoe features a white premium leather upper with brown suede midfoot panels, brown laces and red star accents. Underneath the shoe, there’s an eye-catching green rubber midsole and red rubber outsole, resembling the grass upon which the flag’s grizzly bear stands and the red stripe at its base.

The shoe will be available this Saturday at selected Nike SB retailers nationwide like Showroom.

The #AF1THEORY by HUNDRED%

The shoe was designed by Bruce Kilgore back in 1982 and it was the first ever basketball shoe that uses the Nike Air Technology. It was discontinued the year later, and brought back in 1986. Over the course of its existence, the shoe has garnered a cult following internationally. Songs were written about it, celebrities still wear them even in this day and age, and sneakerheads from around the world still collect them. Now, in 2014, more than 30 years later, Nike has reworked the pair which resulted in the brand new Lunar Force 1.

To honour the shoe’s long standing heritage, and to celebrate the launch of the reworked classic, HUNDRED% is organizing the Nike Air Force One Theory (#AF1Theory) this November 18th, 2014. This ground-breaking event will be bringing together 26 Malaysian Artists from all walks of life to showcase their creativity by putting life and characteristics onto a plain white pair of Lunar Force 1. The event will also serve as a platform for the public to showcase their customization talents. The event will allow the public to register and join the customization contest, where the winner of the contest will win a ONE YEAR SUPPLY OF SHOES from HUNDRED%.

Ménage – First Year Anniversary Capsule Release

It’s pretty amazing how time flies. It felt like it was a really short time ago when we first posted about this brand, and now they are celebrating their one year anniversary with this capsule release. For this release, they worked with one of brand’s good friend, Sanjay C. Damien, a graphic designer and also frontman of the post-hardcore band Azure For Janne, to release 2 t-shirts that would bring out the concept of family and togetherness.

The first tee is called Agápē, which means unconditional love in the classical Greek language. The front part of the t-shirt features an Agápē script that represents being together as a family for a year, the bottom part features the word “Constitutam”, which means established in Latin while the roman numerical “IV.MMXIII” next to it means April 2013, the month the brand started.

The Second tee from the collection is called “Lost In Translation”, which features a Japanese script “Watashitachi no kazoku” on the front. It means “Our Family” in Japanese. Why Japanese you ask? Because the brand has always been inspired by their culture, and the mannerism that surrounds the culture in a whole. They are polite, humble, and respect is earn and given regardless of age or standard in society.  Another highlight feature of the t-shirt is the dictionary section below the script, which is basically a translation for the word Ménage into a noun for people to be able to relate and pronounce the word correctly.

Both t-shirts feature symbols inspired by Ancient Mayan culture that represents the brand’s tagline Live, Love and Appreciate.

Here it is another collaboration collection by Adidas Originals and Neighborhood, for Fall/Winter 2014. This collaboration combines the Neighbourhood’s signature Americana-inspired aesthetic together with Adidas’s iconic sportswear, and ranges from outerwear, to graphic t-shirts, to Adidas’s classic silhouettes like Superstar 80s and Country OG. Here we find the new Li Ning Way of Wade model – Way of Wade 2.5 Encore Announcement. Designed by Eric Miller for Dwyane Wade Playoff games, the shoe combines dazzle camo and facets elements that gives the shoe an extravagant look. The shoe features a laser perforation throughout the genuine split leather upper, large TPU side panels, phylon midsole, carbon fibre etc. It is a shoe that combines a lot of different materials and features which all summed up to be a pair of good basketball shoe.

The shoe is now available at Li Ning outlets nationwide with the price of RM549.

Gerard Singh – Crazy (Lyric Video)

Being supporters of all things local and homegrown, we at Masses are proud to hear of Gerard Singh making the Top 100 on the American Billboard Indicator Charts. #82 just in the first month of the release of this single, made him the first ever Malaysian artist from a Malaysian label, Lakefront Records, to be on the charts.
