Melissa Indot – Dance

After the success of her previous single Come When I Call, topping the HITZ FM’s MET 10 charts for 2 weeks, Melissa Indot is now back with her third single release, Dance, from the album MDot. The song is dedicated to her mother, calls for all of us to appreciate those who love and care for us unconditionally.

The music video takes us on a journey using vintage pictures of Melissa’s fans and friends alike with their Mothers as well as Mothers with their own children, reminding us of the innocent and unconditional love shared. Directed by Susan Lankester, who is known for her active role in the Malaysian film and art scene since 1983 when she debuted in the cult classic “Mekanik” and more recently in the movie, “Take Me For Dinner”.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Premium QS “Tie-Dye” Pack Detailed Look

We’ve seen a few of tie dyed Nike SBs before, but this is the first time ever we see the tie dye element being used for the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski model. Dubbed as a pack, this pack consists of two different versions of tie dye patterns on the iconic silhouette. Available in either “Turbo Green” or “Deep Royal Blue”. The Turbo Green colourway features a white Swoosh embroidery on the sides, trim and soles. While the Deep Royal Blue version is accented by black Swoosh embroidery and piping. The shoes are finished off by gum soles and black lining together with dual shoelaces in white and black colors.

The Shoes are now available at selected Nike SB retailers nationwide such as Showroom, with the price of RM329 a pop.

Nike SB Project BA “Game Royal” Detailed Look

Nike SB has a range of signature shoes that have not only been well received by not only the skateboarding scene, but also by sneakerheads alike. The newest line of signature shoes to join the team is the Project BA. With only a little over a year under its belt, we have already seen some strong colorways from the line.

Here in this release we see the silhouette getting the “Game Royal” treatment. The blue color is seen here being featured on the toebox and also on the swoosh which is seen spotting a shiny synthetic snakeskin surface. Some hints of Volt Yellow can be seen on the tongue branding and on the underlay while a black heel finishes off the look in simplicity and style.

This pair is already available at selected Nike SB retailers like SHOWROOM and Heavy Weight outlets. Priced at RM359.

BWGH x PUMA “Dark Denim” Collection Detailed Look

After last year’s successful “Bluefield” release, PUMA and BWGH are about to go even harder this year. The Parisian clothing label BWGH (Brooklyn We Go Hard) is seen using PUMA’s XS698 and XS850 silhouettes for this collaboration.

Here in this detailed look, we look at the “Dark Denim” collection, which is 2 pairs out of the total 9 pairs from the BWGH x PUMA 2014 Fall/Winter collection. Each pair spots rich tonal colorways that are finished with a combination of premium leather, nubuck, suede and mesh. Certain pairs feature some extra premium touches on the PUMA branding at the side of shoe which features a carpet-like finishing to it, as seen on the XS698 “Patriot Blue”. Both the pairs are decked out in PUMA’s Trinomic Running System.

The collaboration will be launching today at Crossover Concept Store in Sunway Pyramid, and another launch will be done at their store at City Square, Johor Bahru on Monday, 14th July 2014. Only 4 out of the total 9 pairs in the collection was launched at Crossover and rumour has it that somewhere in August, another 2 more pairs will be dropping. So stay tune!

Air Jordan 11 Retro Low ‘Infared23’ Detailed Look

Today we check out one of the most anticipated releases from the Jordan Brand for this quarter. The ‘Infared 23’ embodies the exact performance and design elements as the original Air Jordan 11. The shoes feature a relatively new Air Jordan 11 Retro Low silhouette. With a ‘Concord’ colour way, the details include patent leather mesh wrapped around majority of the upper, a splatter print for the collar area, accents of infrared throughout the shoe and a translucent icy-blue colour on the outsole.

The shoes can be found in selected Nike retailers nationwide for RM499, although most of the shops would have been sold out by now. HUNDRED% store in Lot10 will be having a charity auction where they will be auctioning off 14 pairs and the starting bid will be as low as RM11. Happening this coming Sunday, 13/7/14.

TAPAUfest 2014 powered by HYPPTV

HyppTV recently provided its support for TAPAUfest 2014, Malaysia’s first ever crowd-funded, one-day creative youth festival that celebrates the best young Malaysian creative talents. The event was held at Quarry Park Botanical Garden, Penang, and organised by Ikan Paos Kolektif Sdn Bhd. It was made possible with crowd funding contributions through on-ground activities and online pledges via hashtag #iniKITApunya #katesapot where the organiser successfully collected close to RM90,000. Besides corporate sponsors, friends, families as well as members of the public also pledged to show their tremendous support towards achieving the events’ mission. The 30-day pledge project hosted by pitchIN ended with a major success when HyppTV made the biggest pledge donation, just five (5) minutes before the closing hour. HyppTV was also credited as the main collaborator for TAPAUfest 2014.

There were plenty of activities lined up at the event with five (5) designated areas to showcase diverse youth culture. The areas were WARUNG – for the best local Penang street food, PASAR – for local clothing brands and accessories, BENGKEL – for creative forum and traditional games activity, LAYAR – for local films and series screening and PENTAS, powered by iConcerts HD (HyppTV Channel 603) – a stage for musical performances by 11 popular local bands such as GoGerila, Kyoto Protocal, Oh Chentaku and many more.

All the songs are written, produced and mixed by Ali Aiman himself, except for ‘Pavane for a Dead Princess’, which is written by legendary French composer Maurice Ravel, with the EP being mastered by Nick Lee at The Ark.
