kobe 1

Nike and the Kobe camp released this just in time for them to celebrate the Independence Day for the United States. The pair here is seen featured in a distinct red, white and blue design and printed on the Engineered Mesh upper, something his other Kobe IX cannot do because of the Flyknit material. Putting the upper aside, an icy blue sole compliments the pair to finish the look off nicely.

The pair is already available at selected Nike retailers like Hoops Station, and will be retailing at RM579.

The long anticipated Spring /Summer 2014 collection entitled ‘Crusades’ is finally out! Featuring Ethan Curzon of BATE and Jane Chuck a.k.a. Chuckei, Nerd Unit presents a street-goth look with their pieces.

Nerd1047

Sticking to their military concept, Nerd Unit picked crusades as their influence for this collection. Breaking away from their usual monochromatic pieces, Nerd Unit adds in sparks of colour of red and yellow to a few of their apparels. Along with the number ‘6’s, geometry, Arabic lettering as well as crosses, they’ve created a whole new look to the meaning of crusades. The slits and gold zips add more attitude to the silhouette with mesh shorts and leggings to make up the whole look. Check out the lookbook below :

The collection is available at Boundlezz, Headmost, Loaded Inc as well as on their website. Be sure to follow Nerd Unit on Facebook as well as Instagram.

Air Jordan 2 Retro “Varsity Red” Detailed Look

aj4

The Air Jordan II was a breakthrough pair during its release as the designers stayed away from the typical sneaker design in the late ’80s. The trademark Nike Swoosh was nowhere to be seen on the pair which was considered preposterous as it was the significance of the brand. The pair only contained MJ’s signature ‘wings’ logo. The Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro in White and Varsity Red-Black was first released in 2004. A high top version featuring a white leather upper and faux lizard skin texture with red and black accents. The shoes also include the Nike’s patented air sole unit and a soft midsole.

The pair is available at selected Nike retailers nationwide and will be going for RM499.

Nike LeBron 11 Elite “Hero” Detailed Look

This was LeBron James go-to pair during his gruelling time in the playoffs and also pre-playoffs. LeBron wanted to go above and beyond and bring his fellow Miami Heat team mates to win their 3rd consecutive championship, and hence wanted a shoe that can help him do just that. Although Lebron and Miami Heat did not win the playoffs, this pair is a fully loaded with enhanced technology and definitely worth checking out.

The designers at Nike Basketball tweaked the LeBron 11 Elite’s construction just a little bit. They reduced the cut slightly lower to allow a fuller range of motion, an articulated external cage which helps with support, while a lightweight Hyperposite exoskeleton protects LeBron’s feet from impact. Other technology used in this pair is the lightweight Lunarlon and Nike Zoom cushioning combo and the dynamic Flywire cables to lockdown the wearers feet to the sole.

This pair is already available at selected retailers and will be retailing at RM929 a pop.

Nike Air Max 1 Lunar OG “Sport Red” Detailed Look

The only constant thing in life is, change. And generally, we humans are very sensitive to change and therefore perceiving change as something bad. But in this case, we have no complaints whatsoever.

am1

It is no surprise that Nike would Lunar-fy the Air Max 1 sooner or later, since we already saw it on the Airmax 90, and we are glad that the Airmax 1 Lunar is out sooner than the expected date. Besides the OG colorway,  almost everything else on the shoe is new as the new pair ditches the original mesh and synthetic suede that we usually see on the AM1, but now the pair has been rearranged with a futuristic no-sew upper to compliment the Lunar sole. Have a closer look below:-

The pair is already available selected Nike retailers nationwide and will be going for RM499 per pair.

RECAP : Graffiti In Progress

gip10

Two weeks back, we attended Graffiti In Progress, a group exhibition of graffiti art by Kenji Chai, Cloak, Katun, Nestwo, Volre, Case2, Drewfunk and Siek at Hin Bus Art Depot Centre in Penang. The walls of the art depot were filled with with graffiti art, painted canvases as well as miniature character toys, all telling a story of their own. The smell of paint filled the air. On the decks, local DJs, Kopigo and DJ Synthication, got the crowd moving to their sets. Both locals as well as tourists got to mingle around, view the art and got more than the asked for; meeting the artists themselves, enjoyed the music and the free drinks.

The exhibition is still on going for another two more days! Be sure to check it out if you’re in the area. Don’t forget to follow Kenji, Cloak, Katun, Siek, Volre, Case2, Drewfunk and Nestwo on Instagram, and DJ Synthication and Kopigo on Soundcloud!
