Luqman Podolski Releases A New Music Video Titled Sorang

There has been quite a long hiatus since the last original Luqman skit (sans the sponsored videos), and we’ve missed the man’s antiques and shenanigans that humoured the masses without fail time and time again.

This time round, Luqman is aiming unto bigger targets, and has released a music video titled, “Sorang.” In essence, Sorang depicts Luqman’s introverted personality as opposed to his supposed extroverted behaviour often seen in his videos, touching points on doing things alone, like “Jalan jalan pun sorang, Makan  makan pun sorang, Have  fun semua seorang, Tengok wayang pun sorang.”

The initial tone when the chorus hits diverts thoughts into the audience perceiving that he’s just lonely, exemplified by “Hidup  pun macam sorang, Tak  ada nak panggil sayang,” but is then clarified in the verse that he would much rather be alone in his own thoughts, and the difficulty to express those thoughts to people hinders him more from partaking in social events.

After the success of “Myvi,” Luqman takes a more personal turn in this new track, a clear reflection of his personality and an explanation to his hiatus.

Nike Taps Spongebob For Its Latest Collection Featuring A Line Of Kyrie Shoes

ARE YOU READY KIDS?

Nickelodeon holds a lot of sentimental value for most of us kids who were born before the turn of the millennium, having supplied us with hits such as Hey Arnold!, Catdog, Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Rugrats, and All That, but I digress.

But one that practically made Nickelodeon and also one of the biggest reasons to go on the channel was to see a small yellow sponge and a pink star frolick around in the ocean, annoying their bipedal octopus neighbour in the process for the majority of the time.

The characters of Spongebob make their way unto the Kyries as part of an official collaboration, utilising the 2s and 5s representing Mr. Krabs, Spongebob, Squidward and Patrick. For some odd reason, Sandy is not included in the release pack.

The shoes stay true to the core concepts of each character, with colours, material, and motifs reflecting the character as closely as possible. For example, the Spongebob model incorporates the palette found on his usual outfit, including a yellow upper replete with holes, red highlights on a white midsole, finished with a gum outsole. The Swoosh on the lateral side has been made wiggly to mirror Spongebob’s personality to great effect.

Releasing on the 17th of August, the Kyrie X Spongebob Squarepants pack retails for RM 535 for the Kyrie 5 and RM 495 for the Kyrie 2 models and will be available to purchase on Nike.com. Will you be copping the whole collection?

You Need The Yeezy 500 “Bone White” In Your Collection

Sometimes, colour blocking doesn’t have to excessive in order for it to be aesthetically pleasing, exemplified by this Yeezy 500 in “Bone White” which we think, is probably the best colourway yet to adorn the 500.

As per the usual 500 make up, the shoe sits atop of an adiPRENE midsole, mated to an upper composed off premium cow suede, leather, and mesh, with variations in tonal contrasting to create this beauty.

The “Bone White” will release in full family sizing, and will retail for approximately RM 900 at adidas.com/yeezy on the 24th of August. In the meantime, drool over the pictures while building the hype on the silhouette.

Jordan Goes Back To The Classroom For The Air Jordan 5 “Inspire”

Last year, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 5 in bright yellow and black to gift to the friends and family of the University of Michigan basketball team, who were affectionately called the “Fab Five” for their outstanding performance and tactical skills on college level football.

Of course, those being an exclusive pair meant that getting it from your usual rotation would cost the person at least about RM 40,000 (last checked from Flight Club), but if you’ve been pining for a pair, Jordan is about to drop the Air Jordan 5 “Michigan.”

Differences include a mildly different colour palette on the midsole, where on the “Fab 5” features an all-black midsole with yellow splatter, the “Michigan” presents a navy blue take. Jordan logo adorns the tongue, with the tab on the heel embroidered with a quote. “INSPIRE” is sewn into the tongue, while an ice outsole wraps up the silhouette.

Fairly minute differences, with only the keenest eyes being able to spot the differences.

The Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” retails for RM 879 and drops on SNKRS on Saturday, 10th of August.

The Nike SB X Air Jordan 1 Low “UNC” Drops This Weekend

Rather than having anything to do with Michael Jordan, this shoe’s story is told from the perspective of a skater, more specifically, Eric Koston, and to properly tell that story, we have to go all the way back to when Koston was a wee teenager who idolised more veteran skaters than him.

Before the existence of SB, skaters often skated in Air Jordan 1s, citing comfortable heel support and supported the ankle with plenty of suppleness, basically having all the qualities a skater would want on a shoe. Koston recalls missing out on a pair of these when they were sitting on the shelf during the 80s, as his mother wouldn’t let him buy it because “the shoes he had were fine.”

Well, it’s a different story now, as Nike gave the now SB legend carte blanche to do up the shoe however he liked. Taking the Jordan 1 Low, this particular silhouette features a longer vamp, resized Swoosh, full leather upper for comfort, and coloured in MJ’s UNC colours.

Koston’s signature is present on the inside tongue label, and when you flip it, uncovers a price tag for “$24.99,” memorabilia from when the Lows would go for that price back in ’86.

The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘UNC’ releases on Saturday on SNKRS Malaysia for a price of RM 455.

The Adidas Ozweego Is A Retro Futurised Runner For Daily Use | WDHANFTSY

With Bryan gone for this episode, Julian had to solo it all the way with the new Adidas Ozweego. Taking inspiration from the original Ozweego 3 from 1998, the Ozweego presents a modern take on a retro model, with clear design cues found everywhere throughout the shoe, and at RM 580, presents rather good value for a shoe that’s durable, stylish, and can pair with anything. A good daily drive, or a straight pass? Let us know in the comments below!

Where To Get Clark’s Wallabee X Wu Wear Locally

Clarks, but make it street

Clarks isn’t usually known for its streetwear collaborations, but with a surprising partnership with The Wu-Tang Clan, it may have just put one foot into the sphere.

Now in its second iteration, the Wu Wear (A clothing subdivision of Wu-Tang) ramps up the Clarks Wallabee in styling, taking inspiration from classic Wu-Tang songs ‘Ice Cream’ and ‘Glaciers of Ice.’ A swirling and melting ice-cream motif dons up the upper, with each two-tone colour referencing the flavours mentioned in the track.

As per Clarks’ standard procedure, build quality is one of the finer ones out there, employing soft leather trims and full leather lining and piping to go with it. The shoes come in three colourways, Navy, Maple, and Brown. Oh, it’s also water and stain resistant to put up with the uncertainties of Malaysian weather. The Wu-Tang logo sits proudly on the heel band fob, finishing the model.

The shoe is available to purchase now at Sole What online and at Gardens mall for a price of RM 759.

A Closer Look At The Adidas Ozweego And LXCON

Futurising (if there was ever a term) seems to be the direction that Adidas is taking with its lifestyle models as of now. The Futurepacer was the testbed for this experimentation, and after much back and forths, the Three Stripes hace decided to resurrect two archive models, just not quite in the way you’d imagine it to be.

Welcome to the Ozweego and LXCON, the latter which you’ve seen before, circulating the news in bright, pastel colours, familiarising the market with anyone who’s in the niche for a retro sneaker brought to the present. And it’s a similar case with the Ozweego, of which the inspiration comes from the original Ozweego 3 from 1998.

Not to be confused with the Raf Simons derived version after the turn of the millennium, this is a new model built from the ground up, reminding wearers of its origins through the use of alternate adidas tech such as the adiPrene. Much like the LXCON, the silhouette uses mesh throughout the upper, held in place with suede eyestays, neoprene heel tab, and a translucent support tube to hold it all together.

Overall, it’s a simple shoe that serves as a daily driver to whatever outfit you throw at it. The Ozweego and LXCON both retail for RM 580 and is available now at adidas Online tomorrow on the 8th of August (Thursday) for the Ozweego and available now for the LXCON.

Adidas Quietly Drops The Ultraboost “City Pack” On Adidas Online

I think we can all agree that the newer weaves on the Ultraboost 3.0 and 4.0 can be a bit polarizing, but if you’ve dearly missed the earlier patterns, well good news! Adidas Malaysia quietly dropped the “City Pack” in version 2.0 weave, and we’re all here for it.

The “City Pack” revolves around hotspots all across the world, most prominently Shanghai, Seoul, Paris and NYC. All editions get ‘The Brand With 3 Stripes’ branding all over the upper in multiple languages, with the exception of the NYC colourway. Various cage designs are included over the 4 model range; the Paris gets the French tri-colour and while the NYC emulates the Stars and Stripes in a more contemporary design.

Other than that, functionality remains the same, following the Ultraboost of old, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The Adidas Ultraboost “City Pack” is available to buy now at Adidas Online for a retail price of RM 750.
